Default My new reveal - lovely Medium Rame Veneta exceeds all expectations...
I know you have all seen so many of pictures of this bag. But I am so ecstatic with my new purchase, that I must showcase some action pictures of it here.

She was purchased from a wonderful TPFr and arrived yesterday. I was worried that medium will be too small as many of you suggested. I am 5'9, but I was not looking for a carry all big hobo this time, and took the risk. I was also worried it will be too shiny, as it appeared shiny in most pictures...
Well, I must say I am still speachless... After I took it out of its dustbag it was a true love from first (IRL) sight. Although I consider myself a bag slut, and go through bags faster than I change nail polish, this one was certainly like anything else I have ever imagined. It is a keeper, for certain.
First thing I said to my DH when I looked at her, was " I cant believe the TPFr wanted to sell this!!! What if she changes her mind and wants it back...????" LOL!!!!
The color is just this antique looking rusty copper, it is so playful because of the cross grain which makes it look as if the leather stripes vary in color brightness. The bag is not shiny at all, it is very subtle, elegant and simply stunning. I found the size to be absolutely perfect for my needs, all my things fit perfectly inside, and the suede lining is so silky to the touch!!
I loaded it with heavy objects ( 3 pound dumbbell plus all my stuff) and hung it overnight to soften it a bit, and it started slouching perfectly. I also trained the zipper to slide more smoothly by rubbing my finger on a soft candle wax and then on the zipper. The zipper went from tight to smooth in 15 min!! The bag does not stand on its own, unless forced, but it sure stays put on my shoulder!!

I dye my hair copper red and now I think it is a great match with the Rame. I also realized my Oakley sunshades are exactly same color as the bag, and that I actually own a pair of jeans in this exact color as well. You will probably laugh, but I actually got a mani pedi in a similar color today, this is how much I am crazy about this color!

Love it so much!! Thank you SOOO much for all of you who advised me on the Veneta size, and for those of you who tempted me with the reveals of your Rame Venetas.

I a very bag-satisfied girl today!

Congratualtions!
Your RAME veneta looks great but YOU look amazing.
I can feel the happiness cross the WiFi
I love you hair color too.

And thank you for this tip
" I also trained the zipper to slide more smoothly by rubbing my finger on a soft candle wax and then on the zipper. The zipper went from tight to smooth in 15 min!!"
I own a RAME wallet and I have a little trouble with the zipper myself. I was thinking of something oily but was afraid that it might be bad for the copper. I didn't think about wax at all.
I will try it and let let you know how it works on mine.

Thank you all for such warm words!!! I am so happy with my Rame Veneta, I think I will keep her next to my bed at night so that I could give her a pet now and then during the night to reassure myself she is real.... I cant wait for my Moro Roma which is coming on Tuesday. In the meantime I spent a lot of time today taking pictures of my LV tivoli gm, MJ stam and Prada fairy, all of which I am going to sell to finance this insanely expensive Roma if I chose to keep her. I have a strong feeling that once the Roma arrives it will be another love from first sight, so I am happy to make my closet roomy and clean for her!!!
I am so glad I got into BV - I am embarrassed to say that it is mostly thanks to the Angels and Demons movie!!!
Regarding the zipper - I read on LV forum that some people run a clear candle against the zipper to help ease it. However I am afraid to do this, because little pieces of wax may stick to the woven leather. Thats why I just found a soft candle and instead used my finger to transfer a tiny amount onto the zipper. It did help quite a lot. I also hope that eventually the zipper will ease itself with repeated use.

Interesting.....I don't have any stiff zippers on any of my bags or accessories. Just lucky I guess or not as sensitive to it maybe.
