My wonderful DH recently purchased this montaigne for me. To tell the truth, I wasn't thinking about it until jburgh posted hers a few months back. Then, I became obsessed!

Beautiful bag! I love the bit of "edginess" the bag gains from those staple like details.

I LOVE that bag. Great color. Nice that the straps do not go all the way around. Is the style officially a montaigne or something similar to that style?

From what I understand from previous discussion, this is the "old" montaigne style, before they went with the new handles, etc.. BV isn't calling this a montaigne per se though. They are calling it the Clipse bag, if I remember correctly what my SA said.

Yes, this is correct. However, it is the exact same pattern used to make the old Montaigne. I'm so happy they didn't throw that pattern away

Glad to have played a part in the enabling.
