Default My first BV arrived yesterday, and surprise...!
First of all, many thanks to LLANeedle and kcm1535 for posting about the new BVs on BlueFly and the extra 10% code.

I ordered a medium nero Veneta that finally arrived at 7:00 PM yesterday, so I wasn't able to take pictures until today. Here's my lovely new bag:

A closeup of the surprise:

Pleats! I definitely didn't order a pleated Veneta--I didn't see a black one on the site and I'd have noticed if I'd spent that much. But I like the pleats, so I'm not complaining. (I feel sort of guilty, but since I took off the security tag they won't take it back anyway...right? )

I was waffling between the large and the medium, even after trying them on a couple of times. I'm definitely glad I got the medium, because it has plenty of space for me and it fits well over my shoulder, even (snugly) over my winter coats. Here is a very dim action pic (it's dreary here today).

I'm 5'3" and I'm not gonna say how much I weigh. I blame it on the baby. But my arms and shoulders are relatively small.

I'm very happy with my first bag. Thanks to all of you for authenticating (even though I ended up not buying on eBay), posting pictures of your own BVs, and giving me so much to contemplate and drool over.

Congratulations, capulet!!! I'd say that the surprise was meant to be and made your first BV even more special. Enjoy!!

I personally can't wait to see how you wear your veneta with your scarves.

A good surprise indeed. I'm glad you like it. BlueFly's policy is that they won't take a bag back if the tag is removed but I'd say you've got a winner. Enjoy and wear in good health.

It is beautiful and I think the pleating makes the bag even more special (if that is possible, it's a BV!). Nice surprise! Enjoy the bag, capulet!

Wow. It looks amazing and I really do like the pleats - and plus didn't you therefore get an EXTRA good deal since the Pleated Venetas cost more to start with than the regular ones?!

If you like the pleats, but paid for a regular Veneta, then that must have been a great surprise - given how much more expensive the pleated Veneta usually is! Excellent!
