Default Medium Veneta - easy access to interior?
For those of you who own medium Venetas - how easy is it to access the interior? Does the zippered opening open up wide and the strap flop down? I can't see one IRL and I'm concerned about being able to get at my stuff in and out of the bag. The dimensions of a large just seem sooo large, although seeing it on petite ladies in the action thread it doesn't seem overwhelming. I'm 5'2" btw.

Last fall & winter, i just used one bag for every single day--my medium Ebano Veneta. I guess that is proof enough that for me, I had no trouble getting access to the interior. The only drawback for me is sometimes my stuff tend to pool together to the bottom so some of the smaller ones get lost inside. But I am hoping to solve that problem with an organizer. I'm petite (barely 5') and the medium size is perfect for me especially after it slouched with time. I can't rock the large one as large bags tend to overwhelm me. But there I've seen petite ladies here who can totally pull off bigger bags and look fabulous doing it.

I have the pleated medium but the size doesn't differ much. I cannot reach my hands into the bag when it's on my shoulder but I'm fine with dropping it onto my arm to reach for things. I'm 5"7? (170cm).

HTH!

hi hi.. I'm abt yr height n the laRge veneta really looK frumpy on me ! So i finally get my medium Rame. jusT as what juzluvpink mention... we hv no problem reaching into our bags. i'll also let the bag slide down my arms if i need to take oR search for something small like my caR keys. the opening doesn't give me problem like as some bags wheRe the opening is too small. sometimes for moRe visible stuff like my wallet i can just fish it without the bag sliding down my aRms @ all. maybe cos i'm shoRteR than juzluvpink.

Initially i was more woRRied abt the size of the bag but amazingly This bag may look small but i can really puT quite a lot of stuff in n it doesn't bulge or sticking out like some oTheR bags.. All i can say is the fitting n space is verY well designed. Since the day i bot it... i haven't stop carrying it. In facT I caRRied it moRe often than my Sloane

The actual opening is about 11 inches. I just got my new medium Veneta and have only used it once so far, but I noticed no issues with access to the interior. The opening seems plenty wide to me, and the leather is so soft and flexible that the "mouth" of the bag can open wide in the other direction, too. But then again, if you're used to carrying much larger bags, it might be a different story. I don't understand your question about the strap flopping down, but like juzluvpink mentioned, I can't reach into the bag while the strap is on my shoulder. I'm 5'2" also, and I ended up returning a large Veneta I had bought. It's not that it looked bad--I think it's a matter of individual preference. If you're someone who loves big bags, you might prefer the large.

Thank you all - this is exactly what I wanted to know! Smaller bags suit me better. I had bought an LV speedy 25 once sight unseen and even though I loved the bag, the opening seemed so small and awkward I could never reach in without scratching my hands on the zipper. Sounds as if I won't have that problem with the medium veneta!

Sounds like you've already got your answer, but since I own two medium venetas I thought I'd pipe up anyway -- the bag is SUPER easy to use, and fits quite a lot of stuff. I think it's PERFECT. Good luck!
