I just received a large ebano Veneta that I ordered through BF. I think it's absolutely lovely, but it is bigger than I had expected and I usually like big bags! I'm 5'2", 110 lbs. Do you think it would look awkward on someone short like me? Should I return it and get a medium instead?

baglady47, I can't imagine a large veneta being too big for you. I dream about a maxi size (I already have two large ones). Ebano is a beautiful classic color, needs size to show off its beauty-it's up to you to decide, but if I were you it would not even cross my mind to change it for a medium. Enjoy that it holds a lot.

I'm 5'2" are I have two large venetas. I think they are perfect. Course, I'm not quite as thin as you. In time, it'll slouch more and not so so big. Here is me with mine when it was new and not slouchy.

I think it's a personal preference. They are both nice sizes, but I am the same size as you and prefer the medium on me personally. That's the size I have!

No, not at all... I'm also 5'3'', but I wear large veneta... it's drapes beautifully... for me, th med veneta is bit too small

I got my first BV LARGE Noce Veneta last week and I LOVE it!!! Both sizes are gorgeous, but I love the fact that the large gives me more space and I use it more as an "everyday" bag.

I'll never forget Prestwick's comment that these bags seem big at the time, but when you bring them home, they seem "small"!!!

I love my large Veneta.....this bag is gorgeous and light as a feather.

That being said, I also have a medium Lotus Veneta on the way!!! See?? Told you I like both!!!!

) so the Large Veneta is great for me. I would love the Maxi if not for the extra drop, which is too much IMO.

Do take modeling pics, cos that would be the best way for us to tell if the Large is really too big for you. sunspark looks gorgeous with her Large Venetas, so I'm thinking it'll look fab on you too!

I'm not a big fan of large bags and the large veneta is perfect for me. It gives me lots of space and makes it more practical as an everyday bag. But it's not bulky at all and drapes beautifully.

If you have a lot of things to carry, it is fine. Also if the color and texture are cool, just wear it. Big bags are good. I like them.

baglady, the most important thing is that YOU feel comfortable with it.
(i know that for me personally, the large veneta would mean that i would never ever find my keys!! .... LOL)

it's definitely a preference issue here. i own both medium and large venetas and it depends on the outfit i wear and occasion. i find myself reaching for the large more so nowadays.

good luck deciding. ebano is such a classic color.

The large veneta is amazing as it drapes so well! I have a friend who is 5'0" and she still loves it to death and looks fabulous with it on. With the Maxi size also popular, the Large is not so large...

I'm also around 5"2, and love my large veneta (I'm carrying it today!).
My sister has a medium, and I've tried it on -- while it might look better when carried in the crook of your elbow, I feel the large one is better overall. The drape is much nicer!
But of course, you have to feel comfortable with your bag.
