I called up BV London (Old Bond) on Monday and spoke to a very nice SA (Richard). I got to know that the medium pleated veneta in baltic was still available and the price was attractive.

I hesitated, pondered and finally decided I should just shipped over and pay for freight & tax. Richard is off today and I spoke with another SA and he told me "It's completed sold out madam, you are very late"

I didn't like his tone but I guess this is a fact. I called up the other 2 boutiques and got the same answer.

So dear fellow tpfer in London, if you see a medium pleated veneta in baltic available that's discounted. Please pm me.

Now I shall continue to lick my wound...

Is it impossible to get one from the U.S.? Maybe one of the boutiques here still has one.

Ahh, I'm so sorry that you missed it. BV started it's pre-sales pretty early on in December so I'm surprised that some bags are still available. Nevertheless it is always sad when you feel you missed out on a bag, I really hope that you find your perfect BV soon and honestly you never know I was pondering over a sale bag (not BV) missed out on it on the website due to pondering, missed out in the boutique due to other large purchase. Returned large purchase only to find the bag had been sold out. Finally found it again on a different website. If it's meant to be...the bag will be yours, if not then 2009 has something better in store for you.

That is too bad. I feel your pain - I have been watching a BV on eBay for almost a week, and finally woke up this morning having made the decision to go for it (guess I was dreaming about BV too...) only to find out that it sold this morning a few minutes before I went to buy it. Guess it just wasn't meant to be for either of us!

Oh dear, I know how it feels like. But it's true what they say with regards to the bag finding you if it's meant to be. I wanted to kick myself for missing out on the ottone clutch, even chasing it halfway around the globe for months last year, with every SA wondering what on earth I was talking about. Most SAs offered the brass karung clutch as a sub but I refused to settle. Finally, Bryan found it for me 8 months later. There can be a happy ending for you too I'm sure.
