Default Is this a BV?
Hi guys, I need your keen, smart and clear eyes!!

I saw this bag in a Japanese drama series. It was used by the main female character.

Is this a BV bag?

Thanks kcm1535. I'd just gone to the Cole Haan website but it's not there. Their weave is more like a long zig zag weave.

i have tried the bag IRL. visually appealing but rather hard leather especially when compared with my BVs.

Yep - it is like cardboard compared to a BV. Cole Haan is continuing this "Genevieve" weave for the fall season.

Cole Haan is great for shoes, but not much else, IMO.

(Probably due to the fact that they are fully owned by Nike.)

I'm also quite drawn to this bag and have seen it IRL. The actual bag looks less appealing with the leather of a stiffer quality. If only it's really BV then it'll be on my wishlist. I"ll take a second look at this bag. Probably I may get it since it's of a fairly reaonable price.

slip - cole haan always goes on sale, might be worth waiting. also always a lot of cole haan's on ebay. i have bought a number of cole haan bags in the past because like you i think they look great, but i always end up selling on ebay a couple months later - because they don't feel great or too heavy or trendy or whatever other reason.

Hi Doloresmia, never thought you'll be on this thread too! Yeah, the range of bags are on sale right now for 30% which translates to about the same price as getting from ebay. I only had a glimpse while I was browsing the handbags section so I didn't actually scrutinized closed enough and it was displayed at a bottom rack, which I think most would have walked passed them. I'm more interested in getting a brown one which I believe fetches higher prices in ebay too?? I'm going back to the mall to have a second look. Thanks again for your good advice, its true that it's worth the wait for sale on Cole Haan bags.

OK, I'm back from the mall. This time just to have a feel of the leather myself and if it fits me. I've tried the small triangle bag which is estate blue. The blue is so dark that it's almost black. I feel that the leather is really not great at all, in fact doesn't really feels like leather. I reckon it's not of high quality leather. The workmanship is great though, tight and even weaving. I'm still quite won over by the suppleness and softness of BV bags and that's for sure I've set my sight on BV bags. But for this Cole Haan, perhaps I can wait out to see if I'll want it badly enough. Anyway with the gloomy economy, most will have a wait and see attitude on ebay, so am I.
