Default Is the OSTRICH COPPER Belly Bag too "bling bling"??
Hi Ladies, I need help deciding.

The Ostrich Copper Belly Bag is on sale and the price is really tempting me. I like the shape/style/size of the bag and I would love to own a piece of exotic leather BV, but I am unsure about the copper color. Is it too bling bling for use during the day? I have never seen this particular bag IRL, I only try on the belly bag in Matita so I know I like the style/size itself. Is the Matita one on sale? Will this copper one looks like I am carrying a giant penny around?

From the pictures I have seen online, looks like it is very bling bling when the pictures were taken with flash....

Help, should I get it??

I think you should get Copper Ostrich Belly bag. I've been using it everyday to work since i got it 2 days ago. It's not as bling bling as it's shown in the website. I love it to death! The matita is also on sale but don't know if it's still available. I say go for the Copper Ostrich, you won't regret it.

So it's not that bling bling IRL? That's good! I like the matita too but I know the matita doesn't feel as special.

So you found the copper ostrich pretty versatile?

I've seen it in real life. I don't think it is too bling bling. It is a statement piece for sure, but the color is not like the typical shiny metallics we usually see. It is very nice.

Would you say it's more "matte" finished?

ditto! I'd say go for the copper ostrich especially that you want to have a BV in exotic leather.

I do not think that it is too flashy... but then I chose one. It is definitely less flashy than the rame ossidato (oxidized copper)... it is redder and more subdued, as if it were not still a bright, shiny, copper penny, but not quite brown, yet. The undercolor of the copper ostrich belly is a deep, rich, red-brown... henna, perhaps, or an orange pekko tea that has been perfectly brewed. On top of this is the muted metallic copper which does not completely cover the base color so what you see is variegated. It is lovely, but flashier than the tea ostrich belly - IMO, it is not so flashy that you could not/would not wear it daily. The rame ossidato, on the other hand is both more shiny and more golden over an ebano base, and to me much less subtle... though gorgeous.

I will attach a couple of pics that might help. The first is a pic of 1qaz2wsx's tea ostrich belly and the second is a picture of my copper ostrich belly w/o flash. You can see how much less like a shiny penny it looks compared to my copper sandals. I hope that this helps you.

It's not too bling bling... It's even more understated than my Copper Rame Veneta... I'd prefer Tea Ostrich Belly though, probably becos I already own a Copper Veneta, if not... hehehe, I would have picked Copper Belly myself.

Copper color works very well with dark outfits, it gives a nice pop of a different color, not in a loud, screaming way. :)

for some reasons, i think the size of the regular leather is bigger than the ostrich...but i could be wrong...
both tea and copper look very nice, you can't go wrong with either color.

Not at all. The Copper is so beautiful on the ostrich skin, and did you feel the leather?. Also, think how often you can buy a BV bag in Ostrich for 2.6K? If you like the style, go for it!

Same size in height and width, but 0.9" slimmer in depth...
The ostrich belly 76: 12.1" x 10.5" x 8"
The intrecciato belly 76: 12.1" x 10.5" x 8.9"

(And just in case I have not made it plain, my copper struzzo (ostrich) belly is a bag I really love, both in style and color!)

hikarupanda, have you made a decision about whether the copper is the one you want? If you think that it is to "bling bling", but really do want ostrich, a tea ostrich belly 76 is available in Honolulu - contact Bryan if you are interested... PM me if you do not have contact information.
