Yes, wasn't sure if I should have mentioned my Dad's father and the zipper, not meant to be show offy and hope it didn't come across that way. But very proud of how hard he worked. He spent most of his adult life perfecting and patenting the zipper. Originally used on boots/shoes then during war time then clothes.
Nope - it did not come across that way! That is extremely interesting!!!!! I absolutely love history, and have some interesting history in my own family. So which is your ancestor? Elias Howe or Whitcomb Judson? - or Gideon Sundback?

My story isn't as good as yours! The zipper helped mankind.

Years and years ago my uncle patented a detonator for bombs that allow them to explode just off the ground.

Your travels sound devine, especially Polar bear viewing!!!
I also love Paris, but much prefer the south of France, especially the provence region, I try to go there every year. And the food in Thailiand is definitely TDF!!!
I was so shocked to see penguins on our last trip to Hawaii! I kid you not! At a resort at Honolulu! It was awesome!

Nah, that is great! We have inventors/discoverers in our family, and you have to celebrate the creativity and how these items have helped us live better.
