And I also want to add that the BV board is really tPF's best-kept secret.

Sure we're smaller and don't have as much traffic, but the level of discourse is at a much higher level, in my opinion. I don't know if it's just that BV lovers are more mature or something, but it is very refreshing to know I'll always find adult conversations here.

Age: 28 (and shall remain so for many years, 29 is too obvious)

Gender: Female

Resides: Bouncing around midwest

Hometown: Chicago

Occupation/ Industry: permanent student

Favorite brands: BV(I'm new but becoming obsessed), J.Crew for all my basics, Theory, Luca Luca (because I do love things that have no practical application to my life), Cole Haan for shoes I can walk in, Tod's- bags and shoes, Club Monaco, and Ralph Lauren

Hobbies: being with friends, reading, photography (though I don't know what every feature on my camera is for), and old movies/shows

Favorite drink: mimosas and derivates thereof

Favorite foods: Quiche, frozen grapes, dark chocolate, most things involving noodles

Favorite TV shows: Intervention, No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain, Frasier, Chuck, Life, and House

Odd things about me: I like to watch reality shows in large blocks during marathons on a Sunday, I will never share makeup with anyone, and I've only recently stopped buying shoes I can't walk in

Things that scare me: fanatics, people who never doubt the established, spiders

Current obsessions: finding my missing earring and a ferro pyramid

Age: at 42 I consider myself a grand dame of tPF

Gender: Female

Resides: Southern California, and if we ever get the house done, maybe sometimes in Seattle

Hometown: Boston

Occupation/ Industry: about to retire from being a stay at home wife and rejoin the workforce sooner than later. had a lovely year off, but missed my disposable income

Favorite brands:
bags and accessories - when i was working - none because i traveled a lot and could not carry the purse, the computer bag AND the rolling carry on suitcase; now BV, H
clothes - when i was working - yohji yamamoto, comme des garcons, and my own designs (due to difficult to fit combination of curvy and short nature of figure); now target yoga pants and old navy ribbed undershirts or a pareo; if i need to dress linda edminston, missoni, H shawls
shoes - when i was working - prada, robert clergerie, marc jacobs and anything with a high heel and architectural feel; now lululemon or croc flipflops

Hobbies:
tPF and surfing ebay, texas hold 'em, knitting, jumping into the waves and getting the stuffing knocked out of me - and sometimes getting knocked out of my bikini.

Favorite drink:
chai lattes, but ONLY from amelia's on main street in santa monica

Favorite foods:
pho, bi bim bap, pizza, coconut popsicles, crystallized ginger covered in dark chocolate, GORP (good old raisins and peanuts - but the gourmet kind)

Favorite TV shows:
TMZ (I can't help it, they are funny), project runway, jon and kate plus 8, top chef, reruns of law and order and criminal intent (i won't watch the shows until they become reruns); hanging out with other people's children (including my DSD) since it looks less and less like i will have my own.

Odd things about me:
too many to list.

Things that scare me:
when i used to travel a lot for work and was single, i used to be afraid i would die by myself in a hotel room and no one would know but the cleaning crew because few people actually could keep track of where i was on any given day. now i am mostly only afraid of heights, roller coasters and people who work in HR.

Current obsessions:
well do you see how often i post?
