I have my Noce Montaigne with me today... I haven't had it out much lately (or really any BV other than my Nero Montaigne - since it is either raining or threatening to rain pretty much constantly these past couple of weeks - much to my chagrin because that means I can't take out my Leopard Print Montaigne, but I digress).
Anyhoo, seeing it today up close and personal (and in natural light rather than my closet) reminded me just how much I do love the Noce colour. It really is the colour of my beagles' ears - and the nappa leather is almost as soft (but not quite)! I love Noce!! |

I love Noce too! I was never interested it in until I saw it on my Pyramid.
BV just has the best browns on earth. I only have two BV bags and they are both brown

Did you like your Noce from the start, or does this colour just simply grows on you?
From what I've read on TPF where Noce was being complimented, I thought I would like it. However, each time seeing it in the store I just don't get it! Most TPF'ers are lovin' this colour tho'. |

Noce is this to me: When you make a roux for gravy, the butter and flour begin to darken a little, then a little more. Then it becomes that luscious brown, just the perfect color....Noce!

I must say I feel about Ebano somewhat the same way you do about Noce - I hear people raving about it and I can appreciate that it is a great brown, yet when I see it IRL it just doesn't do it for me... not sure why, though! |

I liked Noce the minute I saw it. Now, every time I use my noce braided handle tote, I love it even more. I think it's the most versatile color BV does. IMO it's truly seasonless and pairs well with all colors.

I have debated many times with myself about getting this color. Everytime I see it in the store, I would try it on and pet it then put it down. I would love to add this classic color to my collection but I do not know why I always end up with the dark brown. My SA once told me that people who like it like it a lot but those that don't like it do the same I do.....put it down. I'm still trying to figure out if I should get one and see if the color will grow on me. It's nice to hear you ladies' nice comment about it.

I feel the same way as mlbags about noce. Perhaps I'll just need to go get one and let it darken a little, soften a little:) As for ebano, I agree with Bookermoose. I always thought I'd get something in ebano (it's BV's signature shade after all) but everytime I look at one IRL it just looks so drab that I end up with something else, like my Oceano veneta over the ebano. I love Jane's pictures though - I'll bet she can make any colour look great!

Jane, there's that pic again. It's what inspired me to find a pyramid of my own, though mine is scala. I can't wait to see pics of your nero basket bag!! Will there be more cupcake props?

lol maybe... I work right by a great coffeeshop in Seattle that sells those same cupcakes (Cupcake Royale) though I rarely get them... they are *too* good if you know what I mean.

BookerMoose, I am so glad you encouraged me to get my Noce New Pyramid. I LOVE it. I just wrote in another thread that nobody does brown the way BV does -- it is just so, so rich. Very hard to capture on screen but clearly evident in real life.
