Smile I'm Back....and with anothe Veneta!
I've been gone for more than a week from this board and I'm not sure if anyone noticed as I'm quite new here. But I feel so at home here after acquiring my first BV that's why this is the first place I visited upon coming back! Anyway, I have two good news.

First one is not really BV related but I just wanted to share with you all. We went to D.C. last week for the National Scripps Spelling Bee and my daughter competed and made it to the semifinals and she was broadcasted on ESPN. (DH and I also were shown in a cameo role after my daughter mispelled her word). Even though she didn't get into the finals, we are so proud of her for getting that far. It's her first and last Bee as she is in gr. 8. Last year, she didn't get in because her older brother did! Hope you don't mind my talking about this as I'm just a proud mom right now!

Second, my second Veneta arrived yesterday. After getting the Ebano, I could not feel satisfied until I got my hands on a spring colored one. Hopefully, this will be my last BV purchase (at least until Fall or Christmas!). So without further adieu (did I spell that right?), here are some pics. It's the Aurora Medium Veneta. It's hard to capture the real color on camera. Some describe it as apricot like but it's really muted and will go well with all pastel colors.

Congrats Brandless!!! It's beautiful. I saw the aurora veneta while I was at BV, and it really is a very soft color.

The size looks perfect on you! Enjoy!

Thanks Shu! I am going to try using it without having to worry too much about stains. I have decided not to pretreat it after reading conflicting results.

Yup! I have to convince myself to break out my veneta also. I'm pretty sloppy with bags after the first week. But after reading the comments, I'm also afraid to pretreat.

Brandless, may I ask how tall you are? The large veneta looks the same size on me as the medium looks on you (I think?), but then again, I'm a GIANT!

Shu, I'm a midget--only 4'11 3/4".

I forgot to mention, the Belen from BV told me that pretreating only helps with oils and water but won't really make it "stain proof."

Thanks so much!

I didn't know that about pretreating. That actually makes me feel better because now I won't have too many regrets when it gets dirty.

I did ask the SA at my BV what they could do for one of my older BV bags that got stained in the rain, and she said that I could bring it in and have their expert look and it and try to fix the problem, so I guess that's always an option.

You're lucky you have access to a botique. I have to do all my purchases online.

Thanks! Yup, the sale plus the impending price increase kind of pushed me to do it.

Brandless, I was also going to say the medium on you looks like the large on me! You wear those venetas well! Congratulations both to your son for last year's accomplishment and to your daughter for this year's. DH and I watched the Bee so perhaps we caught your cameo appearance.
