Right now I have the following BV handbags:
- Boston tote in Ebano - Capri (mini) in Nero - Veneta (large pleated) in Baltic, which I might sell. What color bag should I buy next, something light to wear in summer or something bright for a pop of color? Not that I would not wear the bags that I already have in summer. I have never owned a light colored bag that I can remember. And I am not big on babying things so I would definitely not consider a very light color but maybe there summery options that would work with lots of colors that are not too delicate? I don't like green or bubble gum pink but other than that am open to any color. I wear concervative business clothes for work and jeans + shirt/tshirt/sweater during week-ends. Lots of white, beige and pastels in summer. Anything that looks good against olive skin and dark brown, almost black hair. Also in terms of bag shape I am thinking about another hobo bag that I would carry mostly outside of work. I don't like what I've read about Sloane so it's a choice between another Veneta, Pyramid or Campana. I am leaning toward a Pyramid unless, of course, I seel Baltic Veneta, in which case I would probably buy another Veneta. Also, I think with Veneta design I would be more likely to go with brighter colors. |

Thank you for your suggestions, kroquet!
Coral? For fall? I don't think it would be my top choice. I do like a lot of colors from F/W 09 such as lilac, purple and burgundy. And I prefer Baltic from the blue family. I think it is more versatily. I do love Ottone but I don't think I'd be able to pull it off nor would it go with my rather casual lifestyle. As far as metallics are concerned I prefer Platinum Ossidato. Sounds like I like cooler colors... even though I like Ebano. |

Well, I was gonna say red (crimson or ??) but then you said cooler, so ...
something gray? Night, Ferro? Do we have a burgundy-ish BV color? Eclipse? |

Are red bags practical? Would I get as much wear out of a red bag as I would get out of Baltic or a lighter colored (beige?) bag? Need to see Ferro in person. I thought I would be all over Matita, and was bummed that I missed out on a zip around Matita case, but when I saw Matita shoes in store I was not blown away. Maybe because of the lighting (it was getting dark outside), I don't know. Maybe I am not crazy about roughness of goatskin. I think this Royale Veneta in Carmin looks fab but I don't think it's new, which puts me off since I've never bought a bag on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270394473619 |

![]() ![]() Just call me stingy ![]() I would however suggest ordering it sight unseen like I did......WOW ![]() :blackpearl I wasn't impressed my the Matita shoes either. The bags look totally different with the weave. Ottone isn't dressy at all but if you prefer silver to gold...... |

If I had a Nero and Ebano bag already, I would consider Tea or Ash or Ferro.

I think summer is all about the bright colors and white purses. Azure is also a beautiful color for summer and is also on sale if you can find one.
Edit: just noticed you don't like green so forget the melo and you prefer baltic so no cobalt

I have the Bella in Ebano
Sloane in Nero Just got the Pyramid in Saffron for Spring/Summer & Campana in Crimson for a pop of color I wear lots of black, brown and tan, have dark brown hair and sallow skin Tried the Eclipse, had too much bluey pink, didn't work so well with my skin, Love the burnt Orange but it was just too bright for me, Saffron was gentler... love the Cobalt but it won't work with my skin... I found the Crimson the right shade of Red for me I suggest trying on the colors before you buy. Cobalt is a great pop of color you can wear right into Fall. A metallic might be nice too Good luck! |

Why are you thinking of selling the Baltic? I am confused in what to tell you because a lot of your answers seem to suggest you really like both Baltic and the Veneta... so I guess I just don't understand why you don't already have exactly the bag you want/need - but then you say you want to sell it... Is it the pleated style you don't like? If so, then maybe I would suggest a regular Baltic Veneta.

My guess is metallic; it would look beautifully against your skin tone!

I don't think Ottone has to be a dressy bag. I am really casual and find Ottone to be perfect. Ferro is great, too, and I would love to see a bag in Matita.

What about a special order large veneta in platino ossidato??? I costs nothing to submit to find out whether they will produce it - and as far as I can tell, that would be really unique! One thought though, the ossidatos, both platino and rame have an ebano undercolor, IMO.
If you love baltic, then I would look for the large baltic veneta... it is bound to show up, since it is only produced last F/W (seems so long ago...). As you can tell from my signature, ottone is a fabulous choice, but like matita, it is goat... but this one would take you to the lighter shades simultaneously going metallic - but without the "babying" problem... and like the platino ossidato it would be an SO. |
