Unhappy I have a confession to make, I chickened out...
Some of you know I've posted about my recently acquired Aurora Veneta. I even posted some pics. I was so excited to use it but never got to. I know I said I won't stress out about keeping it clean and enjoying it but I chickened out! Last Saturday we were going to eat out and I could not bring the Veneta afraid it would get some food stains. Then I started fast forwarding to other future outings including soccer season,i.e. will I feel comfortable bringing the bag to watch my kid play soccer; will I keep worrying when I bring te bag with me when driving the kids to and from school (I always put my bag in between the two front seats and my son sits beside me)? I really loved the color but for the price, I was not willing to risk it being dirty or stained in a few months. So I ended up packing it today. It will be on its way back and I've decided to exchange it for a black Campana. Even though it's not on sale, I decided to go ahead instead of wait to buy it for Christmas as I've read here that prices will be going up soon. Oh well, I hope this transaction works out well. I'll keep you updated.

I understand your decision completely. My lightest color BV is blush colored, but sometimes I still hesitate to take it with me, in case it may get dirty...

I totally understand. I want to buy a white bag, but I would end up in your position, having to pack it up and return it. I would be so scared to use it.

You did the practical thing...nothing to regret about that! I would have gotten it dirty within the first millisecond.

Hey, we all use our bags differently. I'm using my Aurora Veneta daily and loving it, but honestly, I'm frequently checking to see if something has gotten on it. so it's like constant monitoring! If you're more relaxed with the dark color, you'll use it more and enjoy it.

Thanks ladies! I just feel so down right now after being in cloud nine last week. I know it's just a bag but I'm sure you all understand how it is.

Personally, I have used my aurora veneta A LOT since I got it in April but it has no signs of wear yet. I don't worry about it, but I know what its like to have something nice and be so afraid to use it. I hope this next bag is the right one for you

I totally understand and think you did the right thing - if you were only going to be worried about it getting dirty it just wasn't the right bag for you... and I know you'll love the nero Campana and not have to worry about it at all!

I bought a bianco Montaigne last December and haven't had the guts to take it out yet... It doesn't help that it is still WINTER around here, but even if the weather improves I'm not sure when I am going to use it. But I love looking at it on the shelf!

don't worry. sometimes you just know when it's not the right bag for you. the next one will make your heart sing. it's so much better to return it than to keep it and possibly never really enjoy the bag. they are much too expensive for that.

Hey Brandless, I understand...in fact, my new moutarde wallet already has a light pink stain on it and the leather is getting dirty :(

And hey, cheer up! You're still getting a new bag!!

I returned the aurora clutch for the same reason, I couldn't picture my hands holding such a light color and keeping it clean
on another note, I started using my cassis campana today and I hand-held it since I am wearing a new black shirt and am afraid of color transfer. But a new bag is exciting and I'm sure you will love your next one just as much.
Whenever I buy a bag I imagine it under my kids' feet in the car and lying in the grass on the soccer field. It's never a good image.

Sorry to hear about your wallet. I know I'd be worse with wallets. Even though I'm careful, i still end up scuffing leather wallets all the time. BTW, not sure where I read it but i had the impression BV wallets were made of waxed leather or wast that another brand?

The image you talked about can certainly apply to me! Congrats on your new campana!

Brandless, I completely understand. I avoid light colored bags even though I think they're so pretty and so summery, especially when it's 102 degrees outside. Shrise. com has a few BV's on sale including five medium campanas, five different colors

I totally understand...but BV colors are just irresistible!! =)
I had to sell a LV diaper bag that I used once because it was just so pretty that I kept cking whether it was getting dirty and I couldn't even put my daughter on the changing pad; I don't think I enjoyed the outing very much~ Sigh* What we do for beautiful expensive bags!!
