Default How do you think of the color and the price of this large veneta?
I got a large veneta for $1306 before tax yesterday. Original price is $1950.

I am not sure of the color. Is it saffron or Cinnamon? The SA told me it was camel. I like this color very much but I am kind of afraid that since it is light it will be easy to get dirty. So my
1st question is: does anyone ever use this color before for more than at least two years? Will it get dirty easily?

Is it worth to buy this light color at only 33% off? I got a black maxi pleated veneta for only $1400 no tax two weeks ago when it was 50% off. It seemed this camel one is a little bit more expensive according to both color and size.
2nd question is: does anyone see or get either medium or large veneta of this similar camel color at 50% off?

If you think this color and price doesn't worth, I may consider to return it .....

I'd like your opinions. Thanks!

Here are the pics without flash. But it is not the real color. The real one is brighter and yellower.

If the color code is 7810, it's cinnamon...large was 997 with 50% sale.

I am not a big fan of this color. Does it make your heart sing? If not, return the bag.

As far as price is concerned I would keep an eye on *bay and check closed auctions. I think you can get a light colored Veneta for more than 33% off.

If you do, however, love this color, than you would be able to make it work. But it would need more babying than a darker color. Personally, I am not the careful kind so I have yet to get a BV in light color.

I saw the exact bag in Saks 5th Avenue, NYC, same price and didn't buy it for exactly the same reason. It is a year-round color except I was afraid after a year or two it would get very discolored. I don't blame you for buying it, however, because I just checked out my first large Veneta and a Noce Sloane and fell in love!!!! Didn't buy either due to price issues but no one beats lambskin leather!

I love this color and price wise I think it is good since where I live they don't offer discounts on Veneta
But it would bother me to know that it is being sold somewhere else for less (50%off)
Light color - you should ask yourself, would you still buy it if it wasn't discounted ?????

I think the color is like this camel wallet at ebay. That wallet's code is 7730.
I couldn't find the similar cloth tag in my bag. Since I bought from NM it doesn't come with BV's regular tag with the code number on it.

It should be sewn into the seam of the inside pocket...

Thanks for your reminder. I finally found it. The code is 7810 so it is definitely cinammon.

I just bought the large cinnamon at the BV sale and I love the color. It looks great with brown, navy, creams and white. I consider it a neutral warm color. It is really not as light as you think. I moisturized it already and I don't think it is going to get dirty looking at all. Although, I am real careful with my bags. I was able to capture the true color of the bag.

I too have been contemplating purchasing a cinnamon veneta, and I think the color is beautiful..I think it has a lot more life than Noce..a lot warmer, and the lining is too die for ..that warm, mushroom color suede..I think it is a beauty, and the BV sales for the most part have passed at the boutique..33.3% is still a steep discount..you can't acquire everything at a rock bottom price..so if it makes your heart sing..and YOU FEEL good in it..go for it...As far as the lightness of the color, if you can switch your bags around you should be fine..just my humble opinion, for whatever it is wqrth.

Thanks for your pic. It is the real color. You got the great deal on this bag. Did you use any special leather treatment to moisturize your bag? Does it work?

BV had a great sale this time. I don't think we will see that again. But the price you paid for a large veneta wasn't bad. I use Kenneth Cole moisturizer. I have tried them all and I love this moisturizer the best. It was recommended by one of the high end designer boutiques. I rub it in very gently all over the bag. Just recently I got a black transfer mark (not sure from what) on my noce ball bag and when I got home I used the kenneth cole moisturizer/cleaner and it came right out. I am real happy with this moisturizer for all my leather bags.

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try it. How often do you treat the bag with the moisturizer? Or do you only do that after it gets stained? How long have you been using this moisturizer?
