Hi everyone here,
I really like the quality of BV bags but do you think Veneta or Campana styles are a bit too old for girls under 25? I know they look very good on their models, but then those models in BV outfit look very mature even though they are a lot younger than me. If I'm at the age of 25, will venata bags make me look older too? Do you ever use your venata or campana bags to company your casual outfit and think it's a good match? TIA for your comments. ![]() ![]() T |

i really don't think people judge how old you are based on the kind of bags you carry. both styles are great and versatile. why not get a bv bag in a more vibrant color instead of the classic black/brown?

I agree with goiingnuts. I wear my BV casually and dressed up, so it really goes with everything. I think the bag can have a mature look if you wear it with a mature look but it also can have a casual look with jeans. So really, if you like the BV get it!

I think any hobo-style is young, but it also depends on the clothes you wear. And besides, who really cares how old you are when you're carrying BV?

I'm 23 and I wear my BVs all the time. The styles are really flexible. There's a difference between mature and classic. Sometimes, when I am wearing something "young" (like super-short mini dresses), the BV brings a milder element to the outfit and I don't look like such a hussy/hot-mess. Or at least not as much.

Take a look at Bottega Venetas in Action and a lot of the posters there look so young and so gorgeous with their Venetas.

I agree with ricera. I just turned 23 a few months ago, and carry BV. When it's classic, it's classic. I think by the time you're in your twenties, it's more about how the overall outfit looks rather than one bag. If you're dressed casually, then there is no reason a BV would add on 10-15 years.
Edit to add that I wasn't insinuating that by not dressing casually, it does age you, because it doesn't. It can be dressed up or down. It's classy and timeless, but never old! |

I'm 23 too and I carry a large veneta
its a great piece that can match with all my clothes it doesn't make me look old at all infact today i paired it with an abercrombie tee and a denim skirt plus a pair of nice sandals and I was all set to go I love how it can match my clothes on a casual day and even on days when I wear a pair of nice zara berms with a dressy top it just makes the whole look so classy I'm also loving the large campana so both the veneta and campana is a great choice

I'm 19 and I'm planning to purchase a Veneta in Lotus. I think the hobo style is very chic, Bohemian-like so it shouldn't be a problem coordinating it with more youthful outfits. Plus, the color is very young and fresh.

I think BV is ageless, especially the veneta.

I would find it to be very contemporary and refreshing. I am always wowed when I see a BV "in the wild" as it is, and I would be super impressed with a very young woman that had enough individuality to choose such a beautiful well made bag that does not "disrupt" the look. I think the Veneta looks sooo casually chic regardless of age.

I've always loved anything woven but thought woven leather purses made me look older, until, I came across BV. Is it the style? the colour? the quality? I don't know. Maybe it's the fettucini wide leather strips. It's so simply beautiful and quietly tasteful. I wish I had found (and been able to afford) BV when I was 25.
And yes, I do carry my camapana with my casual outfit. It's all about balance, I'd say. |

i was very surprised when i heard some friends say the woven style looked like an "old person bag"! different tastes i guess.
my first bottega was the large veneta, bought when i was 27 (but a lot of people mistake me for a high schooler). not to toot my own horn but it looked (and looks) great on me.veneta is truly quite ageless! the only adjustments may be size/color according to age or body type. |
