Hello to all here at BV!!
I'm usually at the Chanel forum BUT I bought my very first BV on Friday and I would love to share it with you. It was suppossed to be just a wallet but I saw this and fell in love!!!
I don't even know the name of the bag and the exact colour. LOL!!!
I think it's the Montaigne and she's a deep pink-red. If anyone can enlighten me, I would be so grateful.

I am not sure on the color name, though--perhaps one of the BV experts can help you with that.

By the way, I was thinking of bringing her into the BV boutique or to a reputable shop to have her waterproofed/treated first. Do any of you think that's a good idea?

Bagmad73, that is a delectable Montaigne and it looks to me to be in the new colour cassis, although it may be in carmino (the older, deeper red). Congrats - GORGEOUS bag!

Beautiful. I'm quite partial to Montaignes (I have four...) and so you clearly have wonderful taste! If the red has pink in it it is probably cassis, a colour from the recent resort season. If the red is more of a true red with only possibly some blue-ish undertones to it it is probably carmino, a colour from FW 07. Both are beautiful - there are a few posts recently showing both together. From your pictures and description I would say cassis... but to be sure you can check out the tag in the seam of the zippered pocket inside - the last four numbers will tell what colour it is so post them and we'll know for sure.

As for treatment - someone else will probably have an answer for you - I haven't treated mine as I think BV recommends that you don't.

BookerMoose - thanks for your advice. Your dogs are so cute - reminds me of me when I'm drooling over some new bag. LOL!
The no. is 2007 (the year I presume) then 3714 A. Is that the right no.?

Colour code for carmino is 6210 .... haven't found the code for cassis but I'm betting that's what it is...

Looks like Cassis to me also. That is a gorgeous bag! Congratulations on a beautiful first BV--you'll fall in love with the leather and craftsmanship.

Congrats on this nice Montaigne, bagmad!

Re the treating: I don`t think BV leather needs any sort of pre-treatment because although it looks delicate, it holds up quite wel and even rain spots just dry away!
