Default Has this ever happened to you?
I was innocently "visiting" the Ossidato Knot on the BV website and fantasizing about owning it.

http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...7b1e6&page=all

As part of the fantasy I put in my CC number, but did not complete the order. Then I moved on to other web sites.... when I returned to BV's site I found my computer had bought the knot

Do you think that excuse will fly with my DF? Should I try

What arguments have you ladies used when you know you went one bag too far?

Nope, you should not try. There must have been a reason why you have not completed the purchase at the first place. I know the feeling from experience....

The aliens sometimes come down, inhabit my body temporarily, and force me to buy things... They have very similar tastes to mine, however, so I don't really mind!

LOL. I feel your angst.

I think the fantasy needs to include the reality of a place to carry the knot. Many of us love it but have no fancy occasions to use it - although I believe ms piggy and bunkie made an art-form out of carry last year's karung knots with casual flair.

If it doesn't fit your lifestyle, I'd spare your DH's good will for now and get a knot at a later time when you haven't been on a spree.

this is one of my favorite, favorite bags (if you can really call it a "bag") of all times. I have every intention of buying it shortly and I think it's only fitting that you should have one too!!

although i live in LA, i definitely don't have a red carpet lifestyle, but a girl can dream. however, who says i can't make up a new beach chic?

i will have to look up ms piggy and bunkie's action shots for the karung casual style.... i wish that search function worked

^Didn't mean to imply it takes a red carpet lifestyle or sound like a snob! DH and I didn't even go to his company holiday party - that's how boring we are I knew then my knot had to go!

oh no bluegenie, definitely did not take you for a snob. i just was reflecting on all the BV celebrity sitings on the red carpet with their knots. the knots are such fabulous works of art. i also have a lot of yohji yamamoto and comme des garcons pieces that are works of art, but 1980s deconstructionist wool outfits really are not practical for the beach..... and we live in a one bedroom apartment so you have to be judicious about what "art" you can collect

Look at the picture, it's simple TDF! I imagine it goes well with casual wear like jeans too. But the problem is that you can take all the necessity items with such a tiny clutch. It's not a everyday bag afterall.

As jane said, if you can afford it, then keep it. Otherwise just return it and your DH will you. Hehehe...

I got the OXIDIZED PELTRO CERVO KNOT

http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...3-70c1b628ebba

i plan on taking it everywhere - like the gnome in the travelocity commercials for those of you in the US. although i will have to upgrade my 3-year-old brick like cell phone. any recommendations on a lovely little phone worthy of being carried in the knot? i think i need a smart phone.
