Boxermom, I just sold my lotus veneta after weeks of contemplations.
I love the color but I also want something I don't have to worry about so much. Thank you soo oo oo much for your comment. This confirms that I made the right decision parting with sweet lotus. I haven't seen Aurora though. Will check it out : )

As others have said the Ebano and Nero will always be available. why not consider the Fall colors? I'm not sure which colors come in which size Venetas, but the reddish colors--Bramble and Uluru--are eye-catching; Lilac isn't too light; Elephant might be a possiblity.

Enjoy the decision process and don't rush it. When I picked out my Aurora Veneta, I visited the shop for 3-4 consecutive days and must have spent at least an hour each time comparing colors and trying them on.

I agree, when you buy a bag like that you adjust your clothing and even how you carry the bag to protect it. Just goes with the territory for us bag whores
jf109, sorry to hijack this post.
BL, this is for you. Pardon the poor quality of the photos. My cocker looks much better IRL

I know that the handle will darken, and I know I will at some point have shmootz all over it ( my coffee is usually the culprit) ,but I have tried it on in the past and I felt good in it.. I thought it is a great summer shade without being too light and I do not feel it will darken with age.. At some point I feel like I have to enjoy my bag, and just wear it...not every bag can look new in 2-3 years..And it is summer, and I feel on bad days I can always switch it to another bag.. It definitely will not be a workhorse bag. I guess what I am asking you is do you regret spending the $ on a bag that you had to baby, and would you recommend a different purchase in lieu of the cinnamon veneta?
i don't buy bags that i have to baby anymore. i recently parted with two bags that were light colored. got tired of never using them and wanted the funds for other bags. all i could envision when i thought of using one was danger. i would think of restaurants and imagine spills etc. eventually it became exhausting and depressing. now i just accept that light or delicate bags aren't for me. i still have one that i won't part with but that's it for me. too costly. i don't mind if a bag looks used, in fact i like that look, but i don't want my bags to look dirty. i don't want to evaluate the weather every day- after all how many days is it not raining and no chance of rain. some light colors are so tempting but i am going to try to resist.

I seem to be stalking a brown Campana, and right now it is the only color I can think about, so I thing you should stick with brown. It goes with everything!!!

Well, someone else posted a pick of hers from the sale, I started to obsess about it and on Thursday I started the hunt and lo and behold there was 1 left in the country and I snagged it like the psycho that I am Even Nicole asked if she was going to come to my house and find me dead on top of a pile of my handbags? I said noooooo, my sweetie would never hurt me! He understands because after all he owns over 100 musical instruments Birds of a feather flock together. It should arrive on Tuesday
