Beautiful. Congratulations! :) Btw, how do you make your pictures show up as attachment instead of pointing the pictures through URL?

I used the paperclip attachment option (by font size/color) when I created the post. I don't think you see the option when you do a quick reply, but if you choose the "advanced" response it's there. Hope that helps, and thanks!

My beautiful cervo bag is peeling! Already! I've seen threads on cervo peeling and knew it could happen to me. But I'm so disappointed and sad. :( I'm going to try to take it back to NM tomorrow. Seriously I rotate my bags so much and I'm so careful with them, I've probably carried this bag 10 times total, and it's so babied! My receipt says that defective merchandise can be returned for 75% credit because it's within 61 - 120 days of purchase. I don't know if they'll consider it defective?

Guys, I'm crushed. I don't want the problem to get worse, so I hope they'll accept the return. But I don't want to exchange it for another for fear of it happening again.

Have you considered taking it to BV and having them repair it?

Sorry this has happeend to you. I would try to get it sent back to BV. I have had problems with a fault before and they sent me a new one. If the item is defective only 75%! You should get a full refund.

I have the same bag and yes it has many peels. I sent it to BV and all they did was glue the areas and frankly I could have done a better job. It continues to peel.

greitje, I'm considering sending it to BV. indiaink kindly gave me a contact I could reach out to about the problem. My nearest boutique is up in Chicago. Too bad it isn't closer so I could just pop in and talk with them about it.

I fear having LLANeedle's problem with the peeling getting worse. I feel like I might have more options today, with a 3 month old handbag, than I might a year from now when it's peeling even more. So talking through this, I think I'm most likely to try to return it and pick out another bag.

Wow, that's really great that they sent you a new handbag! I would be likely to replace this with another cervo hobo if it could be replaced with one of the newer "washed" cervo bags. Seems like the washed cervo is less likely to peel.

LLANeedle, thank you for sharing this with me. That's so disappointing. I wonder if cervo just isn't my kind of leather for this reason.

I understood the peeling risk when I bought cervo, but it doesn't make it any better when it happens to me.

Hi yes mine was a brick bag with faulty boning where the handle attaches. I took it back to Browns in London and they were great and had it sent back for me. It did take a few weeks and it may be especially slow in the summer as some of the artisans are on holidays and you should bear this in mind. I did send it via the retailed i purchased it. They should be your first point of contact. I would initially call them and see what they advise.
Mine was sent for repair but the decision was made by BV to replace once it got there.

PeonyPlum, I'm so sorry this happened to you but I know exactly how you feel. Initially, I thought it was something I had done to the bag because at that time no on else in the forum had any issues. There are still owners of this style who've had no problems. Good luck with your decision.
