I was planning my bag purchases for the year and was wondering when BV does its price increase. It happened May 24 last year (see thread http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-v...te-134191.html). I was wondering if we should expect a price increase around May of this year. Does anyone know?

Oh no... I am moving away from Chanel due to the numerous price increases within a single year... I hope BV is not jumping on the same boat...

I haven't noticed a pattern and I sure haven't seen rapid increases like Chanel has had. I have bought a few Chanel bags and I can't keep up with the increases.

Was enquiring about a cabat just now and realised that the prices in Singapore went up by about 15% in Feb, argh!

If only our salaries go up by the same regularity and rate as these luxury good prices...
Gotta seriously think more about that ottone cabat I've been eyeing for the longest time, just as I was about to take the plunge!

On further thought, I think it may have something to do with the weak US dollar. Perhaps non-US retailers have had to scramble to revise their prices in light of the sliding greenback. Diabro, for example, raised prices across the board in their international website by about 10% a few weeks ago too.

If I am not wrong, I think they just had a price increase in early March this year.

Interesting that prices have gone up in Singapore but not yet in the US. I wonder if that means an increase is coming soon.

Now, if I remember correctly. They increase the price on the classic colors but seasonal colors stay the same. Does that sound familiar to anyone? I was pregnant at the time and have to admit for some reason having an infant and pre-schooler has impacted my memory -- sleep deprivation I think.

I don't think BV prices are raised very dramatically. I bought a medium ebano veneta in 2005 for £710 which is currently retailing at £745. Now Chanel is a completely different story....

I think all prices are adjusted accordingly for all pieces except for the cabat, which increased for almost $1000 last May. If I remember correctly, the classic large cabat went from $4900 to $5800 and the large ottone cabat went from $5650 to $6400...but so far the prices are consistent in the US market

Do store prices differ from the ones on the BV website?
The cabats are listed there for $4700 and $5800 respectively.

Also, does someone know why they took the cocker off the website?
I've been 'ogling' it for a while and when I went back to do some more ogling it was gone :(

No, it should be the same for all the ones they listed on the website. The prices may vary by the color and skin they use but the same bag would retail for the same amount both online and in stores.
