Default do I need to worry about the BV card...
Hi,

I recently bought a BV from the boutique in London. When I got home I found that there is no card in the bag. There is only a price tag card attached to a zipper. Is this normal? Do I need to go there and ask for cards in case I need to resell it someday?

The attachment is the cards in another BV bag purchased from BF. I don't have any of those in my Roma. The price tag card is in dark brown color. Sorry no picture for that now but I will upload later.

If the card is not essential in authentification, then I don't want to go to London again. Please advise. Many thanks.

Lottie

The only documentation that's necessary is the sewn-in tag on the inside.

Agree with LLANeedle. The cards from BV aren't unique to each bag. sometimes they are included but I've bought items that didn't have them. No worries!

ricera, I have no idea. I understand the one that says stuff about the leather, but it's not very informative regarding care of the bag. The one that has the numbers on it, why they include that is anybody's guess.

For the numbered one, the only thing I can think of is that maybe its a buy ten get one free card! Like they do with lattes and stuff. (I'm just kidding.)

Yeah, why are they not doing this??? Poor marketing, BV !!!

Agree that the cards are not unique to each bag and that the important identification is the tag sewn on the interior lining. I would not be too bothered about the card.

When I received my carminio new ball, it came without any authentication cards. The BV boutique told me they don't include them anymore. I didn't get one with the wallet my DH bought me last month or the cervo bag I bought today either, so I've stopped worrying about it. I have retained them all obsessively for my Balenciagas, and to tell you the truth I have no earthly idea what possible good they do. If someone is going to go to the trouble to counterfeit a bag, wouldn't those simple little paper cards be a piece of cake to counterfeit?

^^^Absolutely, Kathy K! Easiest thing to fake. I didn't realize they aren't bothering with them anymore. Thanks for the heads-up.
