Default Clutch clucth clutch!
hi ladies,
i know i am forever in debt to you guys for your kind helps and now i need another help, and its quite urgent =)

here is the story, i have been looking for these 2 clutches for ages and now i am being offered the beige origami as u can see on the pics for 50 percent off ( from $3600 to $1800 but with discolorations - due to the type of the leather - patent leather n there r a lil bit of scratches here n there). to be honest, i kinnda scared that this origami clutch is going to change color within time....

The metallic clutch is not on sale and i still cant find it but i am asking my sa to look for it in US. but not sure whether its still available or not...

Now the question, which clutch do u think i should get and please gimme the reason n which one is more long lasting and more versatile? the metallic clutch or the origami beige clutch?

thx u so mucchhh ladies for always helping me =) please do let me know what you have in mind thank youuuuuuu

They're both gorgeous, but I voted for the metallic. You could wear it with a variety of colors as well as black, silver, and gold. Stunning and very versatile. Hope you can find one!

Personally, I'm gravitating towards the origami knot. For a few reasons, it's very special, eye-catching, and, in terms of engineering, it's more difficult to make. It's a plus that it's discounted but I'd seriously reconsider buying something less than perfect at this price. Discolouration might be a problems seeing how you will be handling it much as a clutch and it's so light a colour.

The metallic clutch, while beautiful and versatile, isn't so striking as the origami. It'll be something that you can use a long time. That said, if this clutch is not the original clutch that tugs at your heart and sings to you, don't get it this one, just because you're not getting the origami knot.

I agree wholeheartedly with Jelts. I would be concerned about buying a bag at any price that is not perfect unless it was a totally absurd price. In the long run, you get what you pay for. Be patient and the bag you want will come your way.

Isn't the metallic Knot curently sold out? That's the one I would get. The Origami one looks delicate--maybe it isn't, but I'd worry about tearing something on it.

Of the two, I'd get the platino Knot, but that is because I wouldn't want to spend that much money on something that is already discolored.

By the way, my SA (in the US) searched for the platino and the peltro Knots for me a few months ago, but there were none left in US inventory. I think it's been sold out for a while. I was told that I could special order it, but I needed it for an event and could not wait for the SO to be made (so I bought one of the silk Knots instead).

Hi there! I am not in this forum often, but my two cents on light patent is steer clear - the color transfer is so common and color transfer cannot be removed from patent leather. If you want to get the patent with discolorations just know that they will never come out. You must also be very careful to keep it from other dark bags even when in storage as it will absorb the dyes from other bags that are just sitting nearby.

I did not believe someone who told me this so I purchased a $300 White patent Chanel flap that was on eBay for that price because the entire back of the bag was blue from rubbing on someone's jeans on the first week out. I tried to remove the color transfer with any and every product I could find; I was never able to remove the transfer.

Bottom line is if you are very careful the bag will not have any other issues, but know that your bag will always have the current discolorations.

Good luck deciding!

I voted for the Platino Ossidato Knot for these reasons, all my opinions:
1. Color is something that can be dressed up or down
2. Platino Ossidato can be worn with cool or warm colors
3. Metallics are HOT!!!
4. The metallic will not show dirt like the blond color

Truthfully, I just love the Origamo weave and would love an Origami knot crimson with gunmetal hardware. Oh no, another SO idea to file away in the back of my head.

I prefer this. It's far more striking than the other.
