Default Chances of finding small turbolence Campana in 6 months?
Hello, I don't normally post here but I have fallen in love with the turbolence Campana in the smaller size (medium?). I don't have the funds right now, and would have to save at least a few months (and follow a ban strictly for that time). So I want to know what my chances are of actually being able to find this bag after that time.

I am usually over in Coach, were most items become available later at a lower price at outlets or online. From what I can tell with most BV bags, there are limited quantities and some people can find great sales but quantities sell out fast. I called my local Saks and Neimanns, neither have Any BV at the moment. Since I don't currently see this purse at the suggested online dealers (or the Woodbury outlet - I called even though it is quite far away), do I have a chance of finding it later?

If not, I may "settle" for a smaller BV item in turbolence, especially after seeing the pretty pictures that the wonderful outlet SA emailed. I would still have to wait, but I could have the funds a little sooner.

Any advice would be much appreciated. I will add a poll for the 'quiet types' out there, but I would also love any specific advice and opinions from those better versed in BV.

I think your chances of finding something in turbolence in 9-12 months are fair since that's about the time when outlets should receive F/W 08 seasonal bags. There is no way knowing if there will be any medium Campanas among them. You should also keep an eye on eBay. And since you won't be in position to buy a BV bag for awhile, check out F/W 09 pictures. There are so many pretty bags, maybe something will catch your eye.

Whether you should hold out for a bag or get an accessory now is a personal matter. Depends whether you want instand gratification or not. I don't have that many BV bags yet so I prefer to spend my hard earned cash on building my collection and have only recently bought my first accessory - a black wallet. I feel that I get more of a bang for my buck with a bag. And I do wait for sales.

I never understood the attraction of Coach. Maybe because a lot of its bags have logos plastered all of over them. Maybe because I perceive it as an older woman's bag (I do know that lots of teenagers wear Coach but still...) Maybe because I don't think it is designer enough. Whatever the reasons, BV quality and brand are way higher than Coach so it were me I would rather own one BV than 3 Coach bags. So as far as I am concerned it is worth to save for BV bag and buy it in Nov-Dec on sale (typically 30% off in boutiques, more in department stores).

turbolence was a FW 08/09 color and BV boutiques are starting to stock FW 09/10, so if you want a piece and can still find one in the stores, grab it NOW. i don't think they are in the stores anymore though.

however, they have appeared on ebay. you need to just keep watch for one and then post in the authentication thread (using the proper format) and we will be sure to help!

btw, FW 09/10 has grape and lilac, you may like those colors if you don't find turbolence. BV Fall/Winter 2009! Pics and Discussion Here

good luck dear!

Thank you!

Wow those are different responses! I'm happy to see more purple coming out! That should distract me!

PS: I don't care for Coach signature & logos everywhere either, only leather. If you want to see some pretty purple and pink leather Coach check out my collection (in signature).

I think your chances might be good if you are patient and keep your eyes open.

I started out many, many years ago with Coach, before I really appreciated bags. I wandered around to Kate Spade and had quallity issues, moved on to Isabella Fiore, then LV, Mulberry and finally BV. Still have a couple of Mulberry bags and they are lovely bags and good quality. I find myself drawn to BV because they are timeless and very understated and you don't see them everywhere. The BV colors are out of this world gorgeous and the leather and craftsmanship second only maybe to Hermes, IMO. Good luck in your search as that's part of the fun!

Thanks, but I need to save first and I don't really like the shape of the veneta. They do seem to be popular here, but I don't think the shape would look good on me. The turbolence campana is my complete package, which is why I fell for it. If I get something not campana, it will probably be smaller like a clutch.

Time to start saving!

YOu do have a lovely collection and a little BV will never hurt!

BTW - I love those Coach black sandals. They do look really comfortable the way the straps are designed. I need some of those in a coppery color or bronze. See what you can do!!! lol

Glad I could inspire a little! Those are the Nappa leather.

By the way, I love your avatar - makes me laugh every time!

I had been meaning to ask after your previous response, when you mention other brand quality issues...
One thing that I appreciate about Coach is their repair policy. Does BV back their products well? I tend to assume costly products have great warranty policies, but have since learned that is not always the case.

Just find me those shoes in copper or bronze!!

I have never had a problem with the quality of BV, but I would feel sure that they would take care of any problem. I plan on mine lasting a lifetime and fell like I don't require that many different bags. Just a few really nice ones, you know??

I know what you mean. I could definitely deal with having only a few very nice bags, eventually. But right now I love variety. I definitely want a BV and will start the BV fund, but I also don't see myself downsizing the collection until I have kids and pets.

Unfortunately, I think the shoes only came in black and beige. I agree, a bronze would be stunning!

I think 6 months is a bit too soon for the FW 08 pieces to make their way to the outlets - I believe the Resort 07 pieces are just arriving there now and therefore it might be more in the order of 12 months or so before they arrive - but that would give you more time to save! And as for the chances of there being a Turbolence Campana when they do... I just don't know given that Turbolence was really popular but then the Campana isn't as high profile as some of the other bags so maybe...

cZ22, welcome! Of course you will be able to find your turbulence Campana on eBay when you are ready, and if you are patient. It may be previously owned, and in that case, I would look for pristine condition - never or hardly used (only carried a few times, etc.), no stains, odors not scuffs.

I am assuming that you have tried the Campana on, and are not making your selection from pictures. If you are partial to Coach designs, I am not surprised that the Compana leaps out at you! If you have not tried it on, then I suggest that you do. If you have a boutique in your area or can visit on when you travel that would be ideal since you could try on many bags in many sizes. Or visit NM, Bergdorf, Saks, Nordstrom, or Barneys - or Max if you are in Colorado... any other outlet that carries some of the BV bags will help you make a good decision and avoid a very costly mistake. Trying it on is more than half the fun! And when you are ready, you will find it.
