Love the shoes and the dress! But, am I off the mark in saying that I don't like that Birkin with the outfit? Maybe, if she was wearing turquoise jewelry??? Feel free to slap some sense in me.

The cartoon is based on the children's books by Waldemar Bonsels (published in 1912). A German TV-station had the idea to turn the books into a cartoon and the result was a Japanese-German-Austrian co-production.
I think it is so nice that a cartoon can connect people across borders and evoke fond childhood memories in us. Out of curiosity Mid-: was the song sung in German (can't imagine that)?

Oh yes indeed, Karel Gott really left his mark; I'm pretty sure that still to this day every kid in Germany knows Biene Maja and the signature tune (for the non-Germans: the song was released in 1977). And I pity every child that has to grow up without Willy, he was my favorite....
I remember this cartoon but ofcourse not in German, it was translated into Arabic and I used to watch it as a kid too! I think it was called 'Zaina the Bee'

Sorry, again OT:

Karel Gott recorded a song with German rapper Bushido, "Für immer jung" using the melody of "Forever Young" by A-Ha. Still has that charming Czech accent.
