I'm confused about this. (To me, it looks like Renee is wearing the classic "Veneta" hobo in all the pics.)

This is the "Veneta," right? Distinguished by smooth, uninterrupted woven leather on the front.

And this is the "Ball," right? Distinguished by a seam down the front middle, and dart seams on the front corners, plus a flat bottom that allows it stand on its own.

I think she's wearing the classic not the ball because the ball has the seams and you would see the seams in the pics. When you put stuff in the classic hobo it does take on more of a ball shape. There are no compartments in the classic bag . . . which someone mentioned, as in the ball . . . I have one hobo style - a LV large onatah. I end up not carrying it as much because I realized I prefer having a bag with a "bottom", more constructed. I LOVE the style of the classic hobo though . . .

^^I agree with you. It looks like she's wearing the classic BV hobo (the veneta) in all 3 photo's. I doubt she'd have the classic AND the ball bag in black. They're too alike. I think in the first photo that it's just weighted down so it looks a little different.

I love the classic hobo. It's so timeless.

When I go into BV and they have so many special ones in the glass cases I feel like I am in museum - lol.

I'd rather have a really nice BV than an Hermes, any day of the week!

I really adore Jen's black BV. It has enough details to make up for the black color which makes it hard to see the quality of the leather in simpler styles.

What a great thread! I don't think I ever saw a pic of a celebrity carrying a BV before.

Oooh! I'm really liking the colour of Jessica Simpson's bag in the last pic. Does anyone know what colour that is, and which year/ season it was from?

TIA!

Nymph - I think that was from last spring? It is in the BV outlets here in white - I never asked about other colors.
