Default Capri Question: Is it the leather or the style?
Thought I remembered someone posting about Capri being another type of leather ... but I see bags listed using Capri as the name of the style. Does someone know which it is? Thanks!

I thought the Capri was the style name. I have a large Capri, made of nappa.

Yup, Capri is a specific style name... Here's one on BV.com

And here's my lovely Capri!

^It holds a lot but its not a huge oversized tote; BV lists the measurements as 17 x 5 x 11 inches.

hope this helps...

two things:

1. capri is a name of the bag posted on this thread.

2. capri is also a new type of leather introduced during the SS08 collection, called 'nappa capri'. it's a lambskin material, hence nappa, but the difference is that it has a slight sheen to it. as opposed to 'nappa umbria' which has a slight matte finish to it.

Yes, exactly. The Capri is a little wider than the Roma and it has one big open center compartment, rather than being divided into three sections like the Roma.... Oh, and the handles are a little longer on the Capri and adjustable, so I think its easier to get the bag up on the shoulder

So I guess the Capri will be lighter in weight than the Roma?

Well then, the Capri sounds like a good sorta-big tote, still light .. the handles adjust too, the BV ad says. Smaller than Cabats, yes? And closes up, whereas Cabats are just open, tho they come with the little zip baggie inside. I must get out more, and see the real things!!
