Default Capri - Ebano or Noce? Need help choosing in next hour!!
Hi Ladies,

I desperately need your help right away since the SA is asking for my choice in an hour or two. I came in late on this sale as I have been out of town. However, I was up until 3am Eastern last night calling around and it appears that I have located a large burnt orange veneta, a large noce capri and a large ebano capri.

Which capri would you choose/do you think is the better choice? I currently have a maxi veneta in black, a medium intagli in ebano and a new ball in black.

Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts and opinions!

I would choose the ebano over noce, but that's just because I'm not fond of the way noce looks with my skin tone. I tend to go with either darker bags or colorful bags, so noce is just not for me.

Which is the better choice for you? Only you can answer that, but it looks like you have darker BVs already (aside from your new orange!). If you're most comfortable with darker colored bags and intend to subject the capri to hard usage, maybe you'll be best off with ebano. If you're looking for a change of pace and can wear the noce well, then you might go with noce.

Good luck deciding!

Its a tough choice!! I had the choice myself of Noce, Ebano and Nero Capri. I ended up with Ebano because it is such a classic colour and I have nothing in Ebano yet, so I had to get the Ebano,if I could have swung it, I would have gotten the Noce as well. You already have Ebano bag, so maybe the Noce is a nice change and contrast to your existing collection. Noce is much lighter than Ebano IRL and if you are going to really really use the capri a lot, then Blueiris is correct, best to stick to a darker colour. Its also what goes with your skin tone and your wardrobe. It is a tough choice because Noce is such a lovely colour.

Ebano IMO. If it were a mini-capri, i'd say Noce. Reason is cos I think for the size, Ebano just would carry it'd better. However, Noce is lovely too and if you want to "diversify" in terms of colour, it'd go with most things very well! Tough decision...

Since you have black and browns I'd say go for Noce!! It is such a gorgeous color and to be discontinued..so I'd snatch that up in a heartbeat if I could have swung it with what I already purchased. So sad to see that color go...

Noce is a great year round color (although I do wear my nero and ebano BV's during the summer). My only hesitation to buying Noce sight unseen is to my eyes this color has more color variations from batch to batch than nero and ebano). Some purses in Noce seem much lighter than others and as some have already mentioned can affect the way the color looks with your skin tone.

Good luck!

I totally agree with the color variations and from what I noticed it seems that after using a noce bag for a long time the color tends to get darker? This is what I observe from my mum's friend who is using the noce veneta almost daily, not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me or I'm just thinking too much

^^ That is very interesting, I saw the Noce Capri and it was very light, the pics on this site like Janes etc look darker.

Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and opinions, girlies! I just purchased the Ebano large capri and the large burnt orange veneta. I'm a little nervous about the burnt orange since I don't tend to do bright colors but I am excited and so happy that I was able to get a few items during this fabulous sale.

Thanks again for all of your help. I appreciate it so!

From the bags and wallets I've seen, the noce color looks darker in the nappa umbria bags than in the regular nappa bags. Both probably darken a bit with age, too.

Thanks Sammyjoe! The pics of your ebano capri are beautiful so I am sure I will love it. The one I am still making up my mind about is the large burnt orange veneta. Still not sure about that one...wondering if I will like it and can make it work in my wardrobe.

I think that once you accumulate a certain number of darker sensible bags you owe it to yourself to get a lighter and a pop color bag or two.
