I need some help making a decision. I like a structured bag that sits a little lower than the armpit, if you know what I mean.
So, campana or Ball? I like the structure of the Ball, but it tends to slip off my shoulder and I'm hoping the campana is better in that regard...yet I'm afraid the campana is way too wide. Decisions decisions...your thoughts? Please help. |

How well a bag stays on the shoulder probably is partly bag design and partly individual build of the person. I have the old original Ball Bag and it stays on my shoulder fine. I had a Campana and the 2 handles were always slipping off, so it evidently didn't fit me well. I would NOT say that the Campana is too wide. It sort of folds/drapes in a way that makes it comfortable under your arm. IMO, the Ball bag is actually wider, but it's still comfortable for me.
This probably doesn't help much! I prefer the look of the Campana but the handles slipping off were a problem for me. Most people love the bag, so it may be a fine choice for you. |

No, it helps a lot! I probably should go walk around a store with each bag to see which I like better. What you say about the New Ball slipping seems to apply to me, too...but I didn't notice that with the old Ball.
I am such a waffler when it comes to decisions on purses! |

i have the old ball bag and the medium campana, i find the old ball bag to have more structure compared to the campana. the old ball bag stays secure on my shoulder, while one of the campana straps keep slipping down -- but keeping the shoulder straps atop each other can help 'lock' them.
if both bags are resting on a flat surface, the old ball bag retains its structure but the campana doesn't, so it may look wider. but when carried, the campana's inner straps can be locked and this can help keep the structure better. |

I have a new ball and it stays on my shoulder well..typically bags don't stay on my shoulder. I don't have a campana but my SA said the larger size is more shoulder friendly.

Thank you all so much. I am leaning toward a Ball because I like the shape when it's set down...and in slouchy bags like the veneta, I dno't like how my stuff jumbles around.
It's funny that I waffle so much over bags...I'm good at making snap decisions on everything else! But with bags, I hate that feeling when you buy one and then rarely use it because something just isn't right. KWIM? |

I have a new ball in nero and it doesn't slip off my shoulder. I find it a tad open although putting stuff in the removable zippered bag or having the zippered bag on top of my stuff do give it more security. I don't have a campana but I've looked at it and it seems more friendly in terms of getting in and out of the bag and seems pretty secure with the magnetic closure. I picked the new ball cos it holds its shape well.

I looked at purchasing a Campana, but it kept falling off my shoulder, so I went with the ball. Much better structure and stays on.

Yep, I think you're right about the Ball being the one for me! Unfortunately it wasn't made in Oceano or Galazio...I am a sucker for blue. Now the decision is, resort color on sale (assuming I can find one still) or a classic color at full price? More waffling...lol.
