Hi!
I'm very interested in getting another color in the medium Campana and while looking at the hgbagsonline website, I was wondering if anyone has bought one from there. I'm confused as to how come there is a difference of only $100 between the Medium Veneta and the Campana even though on the BV website, there is $400 difference. Would anyone know if these are fairly new manufactured bags and if it's safe to buy from here. Usually at this price, these would fly off the shelf from Bluefly.com.
Thanks.

I've purchased bags from Erica at HGBgs multiple times. All her items are authentic. In fact I bought my tourmaline large veneta from her last year.
In terms pricing, she tends to be about 10-20 percent below retail depending on the bag. I think the small price difference between large and small might have more to do with her inventory and the bag's popularity. You an always write to heras she is open to all sorts of questions.

I have also bought from Erica. I have a red campana on the way and my indigo veneta just showed up. I have also purchased balenciaga and chloe from her. The bags are authentic and great to deal with. If you search on the forum you will find many happy TPFers

I have also purchased purchased from Erica, a BV and a Chloe and they are authentic. All of her BV bags come directly from BV. She is a pleasure to deal with.

Anybody from Singapore even get their bags from Erica as I just realised her shipping does not included insurance. Thanks.

From what I hear about Singapore mail/shipping, no amount of insurance would help. A friend who lives there had to pester the living daylights out of her local mail office to get a bag she'd had shipped in. It's apparently all in your willingness to keep after them.

Whatever you decide, definitely get the insurance, don't overlook it when checking out.

There is a horror story on, I think, the ebay forum about a lost bag from HG and last time I read it, things were not going well for the buyer (maybe it was resolved). I find it hard to believe that a seller doesn't automatically insure what they are sending out, especially expensive handbags but that's the way it is with HG, I guess.

I purchased from HGBags for the first time this month, but returned a Teal Veneta upon noticing the beginning of 'stitching spread' where the zipper casing/handle meet.
The ladies at HGBags were fantastic to work with -- courteous, responsive, you name it. The height of customer service. My only lingering concern is whether the bags are always 1st-quality. Erica mentioned that this is just how BV is stitching the bags now, but I bought a tourmaline Veneta this year & Celeste last year ... neither have this issue. Has anyone else had exposed stitching similar to this?
I now have the Large Teal Veneta on the way from Barney's (expected to arrive next week) & hope its perfect :

It's funny you mention that. My violet veneta came from hgbags and looks like that too when I received it (only on one side). I stared at that stitching for days, it bothered me. But after a while I realized it was sturdy so got over it.

What a beautiful colour btw.

I have been a repeat customer of Erica's and have never had a problem, both with pre-owned or new bags, and different brands.

There's an update to this thread here:
Stitching Problem on Veneta?

I think it's safe to say it was unanimously decided that BV is currently doing the stitching this way & BVBags sells top quality BV, with top quality customer service, at a fabulous discount.

Terrible typo on my part ... this should read HG BAGS , not BV Bags. Mods, is it possible to edit? Don't want to misinform ~
