Default Cabat decision
I was finally able to locate 2 cabats, I need to order them since they are not available in where I live. I haven't seen them IRL, so I need your input to help me take a decision
TIA

I just realised you have one of them on your wishlist - the 1st is the medium copper cabat and the second is tea rame
when they first described them to me I thought that I have found the reflect cabat and I almost fainted but I wasn't that lucky

WOW!!! They are gorgeous!!! - is the one on the left copper? the one on the right tea Rame? I have seen neither IRL, but some questions to ask: what are the leathers? Do you like to fold in the edges to close the bag, and if so do either or both fold in? What is the relative or real weights? -

Spot on Baggiana - they are the exact colors you mentioned and they both don't fold in; don't know if that will be a problem in the future
I haven't asked about the weight, do I have to worry about that?

definitely find out about the weight. the cabat- in certain leathers can be quite heavy. the nappa is really light. they will all soften but some to a lesser degree. i rarely tuck in the sides but do like having that option so that is up to your personal preference.
congratulations and can't wait for your reveal.

I am always hesitant to give my fav, but I do like the copper the best. I guess it depends on your wardrobe, though. The tea is lovely, too.

Just to give you some comparason, the Tea Rame is on the heavy side (because of the double layer leather) AND the price is very expensive ($7200 for a medium, $9000 for a large). The Copper is goatskin specchio. Both are much more structured than nappa.

Between the 2, I prefer the Tea Rame. But I need to warn you about the weight issue. You need to try them on IRL.

They're both so pretty. Very hard decision.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one though.

I do have to ask, maybe I'm not understanding this, but I thought all of the Cabats had the ability fold closed. Is that not true?

I just came back from BV boutique and I still haven't been able to take a decision. Understanble since both bags are not there
Every SA had a different input and taste

But at least I know that I will get the medium size because they don't fold in

Piperlu - the copper is goat skin and the tea rame is treated nappa leather so they are stiffer than usual. I was also told that the cabat in lizard doesn't fold in either.

uclaboi- - you are absolutely right the tea rame is much heavier because of the double layer leather and more expensive.

Both bags are more expensive than the regular cabat.
But they are unique bags that will not be available every season

Hi Juda - the lizard cabat can be folded. I played with one at the boutique, and it was foldable. I have a Vachette and it's very structured, but it can also be folded. I think the Tea Rame would be the hardest to fold, since it's so thick.

^^Thanks for that information, I guess I never thought of that. Can Peltro and the new Reflet be folded?
