Juda - what size are you getting? I didn't realize just how large the Mini is.

If its close I'd go with the less expensive one, the copper, plus it matches your kitties eyes.

I have both the Peltro and the Tea Rame Cabat in size medium. The Tea is noticeably heavier than the Peltro. Both can be folded in, but the Tea requires a little more "training." I love them both. The Tea Rame is lovely with the metallic edged strip...mmmmm.

^That is beautiful, jburgh! Nice to know that even this one can be folded in.

So hard to make a decision! - now matching your cat's eyes could be the deal maker!

kroquet, I think that Juda is looking at the medium - the one on your wish list! Would the mini work for you? - or are you still looking at the medium? The copper is very beautiful!!!

Thank you uclaboi for your much appreciated input
As per jburgh tea rame can be folded - but I meant the ostrich not lizard cabat.
BV boutique doesn't always give the correct information, I checked the US website the copper is the same price as the classic nappa cabat - so I will not post anymore info that they give me

^this is from the 09 Cruise collection. Medium is ~$7200. Large is ~$9000. I believe.

jburgh - your Tea Rame Cabat is so beautiful. I like the gold edges!

Juda - Some people have had ties installed into the sides of their Cabat. They have to be special ordered and are of the same leather as the Cabat. A strip is woven into each side. When you fold in the sides, then you can tie it to keep it in the folded position. I inquired about this at the Chicago boutique when I got the Tea Rame. I was told that some have had magnetic closures added to the middle, but that it looks weird. Also, was informed that Tomas would prefer that neither be done as his concept was for an open shopping type tote that you take out each day to the market.

I think you have two fantastic options. I have seen both bags IRL and I prefer the simplicity of the Copper Goatskin. I appreciate the gold edging of the Tea Rame, but I always tend to veer towards classic in an iconic bag like the Cabat. I think the copper goatskin has a beautiful sparkle, is incredibly tough and the deep pumpkin shade is unique, as long as it works in your wardrobe.

Good luck!

Baggiana, I think the Mini would work for me, once I realized the measurements. I don't carry that much anyway. It's a long way off, though.
I am with Castorny, I love the copper goatskin. It has such a classic look that will last a lifetime or two, which is good news for my DD.

Maybe in a year or so, one will find it's way into my closet.
