I saw this bag at the BV boutique. I think it is beautiful and unique.
Being a limited edition bag adds to its appeal.
The sag and the fact that it might look outdated in few years didn't encourage me to buy it.
IMO when you have doubts about a bag you should return it.
The large veneta might be a sign

Its a toughie and everyone has given great advice, the fact that it is limited makes it a harder choice, but also because you pin pointed it from the very start of the collection makes it tougher to let it go, what if in a few months time you wished you owned it, if you want the bag to collect it - to be able to look at it at your leisure, then keeping it would be a good option. If you want to be able to use it, no regrets and you have no doubts, then keeping it is best. It would be worth listening to your gut instinct.

If the bag serenades you, keep it, if the bag croaks at you send it on its way.

I am really appreciating everyone's comments, its also a shame you can't live with a bag for awhile. Its not until I've had a bag for some time that I can truly decide if it was a good decision. Some of the bags that I got on sale, that I didn't have at the top of my list originally have become bags I'd never part with.

Juda I would have probably not even picked it up in the store at $5200, but at $2800 somehow its different. When I see these slouchy bags on the stars I think how chic. I've always liked the LV Mahina XL too, another big slouchy bag, but BV's leather and weaving far surpasses the LV in my estimation, but the LV is just more neutral in the single color.

PS LOVE YOUR KITTIES!

I think part of the charm of the bag is the droopiness and the colors are just gorgeous and I think, quite neutral. I am no help, am I???

ReRe - glad I am part of the "no modeling pics" club!!!!
Let's hire Bichonlover to do our modeling shots...

I still think it is a phenomenal bag! Regarding working with your wardrobe, can you work it in with a similar colored scarf or shoes, etc? If it was me and I love the bag, I would change my wardrobe to go with the bag.

ReRe, thanks for sharing all the beautiful pics. I love this bag both in this size and the large, the workmanship and the colour scheme are simply amazing. I thought the colours, especially this size, were quite neutral but maybe it's because I mostly wear browns, beige, and greens. This to me is a perfect summer bag for years to come.

Have fun deciding and keep us updated!!

I'm in for that too!!!

As for the bag, ReRe, I don't know what to say you haven't already - and perhaps the copper rame was indeed a sign...

I think this bag is beautiful. When it's filled it might take on a different shape that you might like better. The colour combination is stunning and the weave very different. I suspect that the original shape will go if you put things inside and carry it daily. I don't really think that the bag will keep it's "plate carrier", well, unless you do carry plates!

The modeling photos from Hawaii really does give it lovely possibilities, as does the picture from the Japanese magazine.

But at this price point, if you're not loving it, and you have doubts, you should return it for something that you really love.

If you love it still after a week, keep it, if not send her back. Get the Copper from BG, you can always send it back.

All the shots are very helpful, thanks!

i think your pictures are beautiful. however, if you don't love it, return it for something you love. BV should be a "YES!!!!" KWIM?

Thanks for liking my pics, usually they are pretty bad compared with what you ladies post, but I wanted to try to do the bag justice since no one had posted pictures of it yet. I am going to keep it for a week and actually I think I'll like it more than the copper rame, the copper rame maybe a little too blingy for me (but I thought that about ottone sloane too and I was wrong), but I really wanted to see it in person. DH really appreciated the idea to change my wardrobe to match the bag. You know when the stars wear these bags, unless its formal attire, they don't seem to worry about matching the bag and its colors to their clothes.
