I loved the "tie die" cabat, too until I thought it over. Because of the tubular nature of each strip, the bag will probably be as heavy as the tea rame... and it appears to be slouchy in the pics... maybe because of both the material and the weight... I prefer something less slouchy. The color-way is glorious, and could be worn all the time, but would I wear such a heavy bag slouchy bag??? would the sides stay folded in? - and the price... Before I could even consider purchasing this one, I would want to try it, maybe over the period of hours to see if I really could be comfortable with the weight.
Admittedly, I am small-statured so what might not work well for me, could be dynamite and comfortable for a taller person or a male. This is just one I would have to handle IRL before dreaming of it. I do have three gorgeous cabats from which I can comfortably pick, so I quickly turned my attention away from this one to those. I cannot wait to hear the answers... I am relying on you, uclaboi!!! So, I will be the great admirer of a gorgeous cabat, but as with the tea rame, I will be just an admirer. |

^I haven't seen it in IRL, yet, so I don't know how light/heavy it is going to be. I'll be sure to post something if I find out anything new about the new Cabat.
Baggiana - I'm not 100% sure about getting this Cabat, either. I have to see it and try it on before any decision. But I'm 100% sure I want an Ossidato Barcelona! |

baggiana you said you have 3 to pick from, 3 you want or 3 you already have, which ones.
For me heavy isn't an issue. I just got the Burberry Studded Knight from 2007 and it feels like I'm carrying bricks, but I love it. Usually for work I'm doing very little carrying, probably wouldn't take it shopping, I take small bags that will just carry the essentials, but most of my shopping is on line. So I put up with the weight of the bags I like. |

ReRe, the three that I am considering are the Ossidato barcelona, the copper specchio, and the reflet. I am only going to get one (I am controlling my collection, too, doloresmia), and I want it to be a grab and go bag... go with everything, wear all the time, and wear like iron. That really does point to the ossidato and the copper, but I keep the reflet in the running because it is lovely.
I carry a bag (a large bag!) all the time, and because I am small, heavy is an issue. I am spoiled by the venetas and the belly bags. I think that the cabats that I have chosen will work for me, but I just have to decide which one... no mistakes at this price point! It is like savoring exquisite chocolate... no rush! But besides the weight of the tie die, I don't really like the slouchiness that I see in the picture... almost floppy like fabric. I couldn't decide it is the weight that pulls from the handles or just the softness. Still, the colors and textures are beautiful! |

Not an SO, and available through Bryan... maybe elsewhere. Blueiris and goldenflower did a double reveal... one Asian, one medium - and Foxie Pooh just showed her aging large ossidato cabat (looked perfect to me).
Journal of Metallic Wear: Before/After It is metallic, but "rustic" according to goldenflower, and more casual than formal... a real grab and go... goes easily with everything, black/ brown, etc. |

^Oh, and I asked B how close this was to ottone, because I did not want a duplication and he wrote, "Ottone is a true metallic, that pop of champagne gold almost with gold dust/sand, if you will.
Ossidato is a very subtle metallic, almost vintage(y)... if I remember correctly, it's a black/moro base and then a metallic leaf coating is applied manually then buffed off and then a black dye is applied (almost like sponge paint) and then buffed off (again) to give it dimension/texture." The best endorsement for me is that uclaboi is 100%. Still, I am savoring the decision... |
