i have some hermes bags but no birkins.
i have gotten some bags that haven't worked out for me as well as i would have liked so i am continually refining my criteria.
i think the reflect is really beautiful but i know i would not use it enough and honestly i bought the nero cabat and am expecting part of a special order soon so i'm done for this year.
hth and please let me know if you want any other info.
well annie, we may need to have more information on the SO if you know what i mean

And I, too, have gotten some bags that have not worked out as well for me as I would have liked so I am sightly shy of buying anything, any longer without seeing it IRL, and waiting to think it over (I believe it was your 24 hour rule?).

Since I have so many bags and so many colors, and no cabats yet I was trying to decide if any were on my radar. The reflet looked wonderful in pics to me, but since I just bought the copper ostrich belly, I was truly wondering whether I was just duplicating. The response by nearly every person who has seen it IRL has been something to the effect that it is beautiful, but not for me. The idea of the reflet being dressier really threw me because I cannot detect that in the pictures... even when comparing it to other cabats - especially pictures of peltro, tea rame, or the exotic hide cabats.

I am also expecting an SO in Oct, so this may not even be something that I want to consider this year. I am still working on refining my wants... The cabat is an expensive bag, so one would not want to get it unless you were going to use it often, and really loved it. I guess that "the see/try it, and wait rule" really applies here!
Ok, another SO.... and no details???? Jeepers, i cannot take the suspense! what do you have going on babelina???

also ITA, pearls and diamonds with EVERYTHING unless it is a tiara, in which case, only wear at home when gazing lovingly at self in mirror. hahahaha

hmm... doloresmia... I will have to see that one, too. Now in mineral, that might be really spectacular! I cannot wait to see it... perhaps in the catalog, or on this forum. Do we know the price of the tournabouni large veneta?

Some things in my life are meant to be mysteries... when I am ready, I will reveal.

And for me, no tiaras... halos tend to slip off my head, KWIM????

doloresmia, I think I saw the mosaic veneta in nero and urulu today, quite unique.

And, speaking of SO, I think we need bags4fun's SO info too along with annie's and Baggiana's.

(no offense whatsoever intended here)
I am with you, bags4fun!!! I love my twist... it is just me.

Baggiana, I'm glad my report made sense to you. I thought of you when I was checking the reflet. You really should see this IRL.

The NYC boutique had the medium today, but the SA said that they may be also getting the large and that there might have been a mix-up of a size, which reminds me of another thread about the different size references in different countries. Was the reflet supposed to come both in medium and large?

doloresmia - I love Rouge H (although I don't see any orange tones in Rouge H), but I was thinking it would be more like the uluru. Can you compare the bramble with the uluru?

I believe I have seen it written here that the uluru has more orange tones to it. The bramble in the few small item photos that I have seen, seems to be a warm color, almost a copper like color.

uluru is more of an orangey red. it is beautiful. http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...44625&page=all

to me, bramble is more of a burgundy wine color like Rouge H if that makes sense, not like copper to my eyes. in any case, i assume the sloane i played with was bramble as i did not ask the color. http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...44625&page=all i think bramble is darker and richer looking in the nappa than the picture on the website shows

HTH

^^I wish I could see them IRL. I would love whichever color that was more like Rouge H. I have seen that IRL and love it!

if you like rouge h, you would definitely go for bramble. i attached a picture of a rouge h dogon and i say the sloane i saw today looked a lot like that. the great thing too is that because it is hand dyed and BV, there is a lot of nuance in the leather color, does that make sense? some bits are slightly lighter and some are slightly darker so not uniform. completely loved it.

I hope you don't mind me sharing my opinion. I have a bramble bag here temporarily. To me, it's like a redder version of the spring/summer '09 tea color. However, I didn't compare the two colors (bramble & tea) side-by-side, so my perception may be off. My SA also said it reminded him of a redder tea.

Oh, I forgot about that little beauty of yours! You're right, it is much more casual. I love the look of it but when I'm dressed casually I also haul more around with me and it wouldn't all fit. Heck, even 1/10 of what I carry around with me wouldn't fit in a Knot.

If I had tons of money, I'd have a collection of Knots, even it it was just to look at them!
