Is it just me -- I can't tell the difference between grape and lilac!!!!

I don't know....maybe with these two pictures together I can see a little difference. I've never been great with colors, but these just look so close.

goldenflower, I don't think reflet cabat would be too close to platino ossidato. IMO, Reflet is unique, subtle, not overly metallic in anyway. For those who like shiny, it wouldn't please you--it's muted. If it were under $5k, maybe I could find a way, but that's just a barrier I can't cross!

LT bag lady, Reflet isn't coppery at all. I'm going back today, and if it's still there I'll try to note all the colors in it.

In general, the store didn't have all the fall colors yet. There were several bags in Uluru, but none in Bramble. Lots in Lilac, but I saw none in Grape. Saw Venetas in Truffle and Elephant and Lilac. The new style Veneta is $500 more and shiny goatskin; it's interesting but not something I would buy. They had a very nice tote in Matita--I'll have to see if I can find it online in the catalog--divided interior, metal feet, woven up to about 2" from the top, then non-woven; the leather has an uneven/small cratered finish. You have to see it.

I was told that Pre-Fall catalogs may not go out this year, just F/W.

Boxermom - what did you think about the Matita tote? Thumbs up or down?

I think the Elephant Veneta is just gorgeous, but I am with you on the tournaboni (sp). Not something I would buy, just give me the regular Veneta.

Thank you, boxermom! It's coming to me on approval next week. I am excited to see it. My SA said it has truffle, lilac, and other fall colors in it as it was repeatedly dipped in the different colors. It sounds gorgeous - and I like that it's muted.

kroquet - Thank you for posting the photos of the new fall colors! I too am having trouble distinguishing lilac from grape, but they're both really pretty. Bramble is much more orange than I thought it would be (but maybe it's just the photo).

Just on approval - I may not keep it! I just can't seem to help myself in wanting to see it in person. I'm semi-hoping I don't like it because then it will be easy to let it go. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would even consider owning two Cabats. I know other people do but the first one was such a quantum leap for me in terms of the amount I've spent on a bag that I considered it a once-in-a-lifetime splurge. Shows how much I know about myself, eh?

Of doloresmia's photos, the first one is about 9/10 accurate as well as the outdoor one that is NOT shiny. It's not very metallic IMO, tho it does have some metallic colors in it along with lilac, pink, maybe elephant/ash.

I almost bought it! Really, really liked it. But it was $2400+ and there was a smaller buttersoft Lilac handbag with weaving in the corners that was 1k less. That's the one they are shipping, so I can post it next week.

BTW, I went in today again for a last visit to BV before we head home tomorrow, and the Reflet Cabat has sold to someone since yesterday! Could it be going to a PF'er??????? Inquiring minds want to know. Goldenflower already had hers coming so it must be someone else. I'm so envious!

Uluru is a pretty sandstone brick orangey-red. Muted, not bright. There were several parachute bags in Uluru and they told me it's selling pretty well. They had no Bramble in the store but from the trunk show, I remember it being a darker red with brown in it--it may come in clothing more than bags but I believe some Knots will come in Bramble.

i felt the same way when i bought my first cabat and now i have 3. it's such a special bag and if the reflect speaks to you then, if you can, get it.
i now tend to judge other bags by the cabat. i think do i really want this bag or save the money to put to another cabat.

I'd like a cabat someday, but its going to have to be the perfect color since I think there will only be one. By the way I saw a pretty color large veneta at one of the dept store websites, they called it tobacco. Very pretty, anyone have any details on that color.

I saw a men's wallet and duffle bag in reflect today and the SA told me they will be receiving some other slg in reflect. I thought that reflect only comes in the cabat style. The color code is 2026. Is this the color code for reflect?
