I heard they were similar. I actually wanted the grape in the RUNWAY MAXI VENETA done in goatskin ($3300.00) but Bottega is not doing it in the maxi-darn!
They are only doing that runway goatskin bag in this corally color---
(cant remember name somthing like Taluru)

I've seen the two colors (Lilac and Grape) and they are not similar except for being in the purple color range. Grape is definitely darker; they aren't close. I think many more styles will come in Lilac than Grape, so they must expect Lilac to be in demand.

Thanks for the description, but it lacks your final verdict. Do you love it? Would you own it?

I like it, but it's not for me. First, I find the medium size Cabat to be too small afterall, I need a large. Second, I still like the Ossidato Barcelona. Third, I'm waiting for the Matita one to come out. Fourth, I'm also considering the classic nappa in Nero or Ebano (it's light, soft, and slouchy).

I should call my SA to confirm tomorrow.
I'm sorry! It is nappa but because of the metallic application on the leather, it is not as soft, slouchy, and light as the classic nappa Cabat.

Is PO = Platino Ossidato or Peltro (sorry)? Anyhow, the Reflect is very different and is not similar to any other color. The best way to describe the Reflect is the colors of sunrise. I think it's very pretty and soft color. You really need to see it IRL to decide because you need to experience all the shades of colors that appear on the bag under different lighting.

Princessdoll,

Thanks for the modeling pictures. I am really loving this bag.

The only thing holding me back is fear of that the leather may be rough enough to snag delicate clothing. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your confirmation, annie9999 & uclaboi. Let me compare its weight with the classic nappa leather when I pick up the refect cabat. I believe (and hope) that it will be as slouchy after sometime as it is with my goatskin one!

I thought that you would find the medium too small. I think the Matita in large will be amazing. I can't wait to see it, but my bag budget is busted, so probably not this year. The large cabats seem to hang around for a while, though, so maybe no rush. I love the classic nappa in Ebano, but I fear it may be too slouchy for my tastes. I am mostly concerned with the handles stretching, as I carry so much stuff, the bag will be heavy.

Good luck with your choice!

you can't go wrong with classic nappa. and at these prices that's important.
i'm so pleased with my medium nero. as you said it is light, soft and slouchy. if i was to ever get another large i would only consider nappa.

I'm sorry - I meant Platino Ossidato. In a few of the photos I've seen of the reflect Cabat, it seems to be in the same general color family as Platino Ossidato, which is bronze-gold over brown.

I'm trying to talk myself out of even seeing the reflect Cabat, for fear that I'll want it!

It looks really great on you! Is that the uluru color? And is it a size large? It looks smaller than I thought a large would look.

Congratulations on a really amazing new bag!
