Default BV at Winners (Toronto)
There were some wallets at the two stores I went to (Bloor + College). One black zip with two snap compartments (have never seen this design) for $599 and mens' billfolds for $499 in black and brown. Didn't see any purses or clothes. Tons of Fendi bags and sunglasses, some Gucci, Balenciaga, Stuart Weitzman, a bit of Tods, Chanel sunnies. And that's it! Maybe some other stores got a better selection but I found it quite disappointing. If you like those other brands too, might be worth a look.

Interesting........

I take it this was one of the Winners with a "Runway" department?

My local Winners doesn't have one, very few do, but I've always intended to visit one on my many trips to Toronto, just never got around to it.

Yes, it had the runway designation on some of the clothes stands. It was great when they started it last year but has been steadily declining. There was nothing there that was very tempting to me, at any rate. Which is good, because I shouldn't be spending anything now!

Thanks mistikat - now at least I won't worry about getting there today.

I would be surprised if there's anything much different in other stores; the selection was pretty consistent.

I went to the College Park location today around 2pm and they restocked a whole box of Burburry wallets around 300 each, there were also lots of Stuart Weitzman bags, most of the good stuff was taken tho as they open early this morning.

I managed to pick up a BV card holder for 200, it was the only one left.

Card holder? That's nice! I wish I could make it downtown, but won't be able to do so until Saturday. And I'll probably only got to the one on Bloor.

$499 for the men's bifold? Isn't it only $340 US on the website? Or is this a different one?

stylefiend, it was like the second wallet, the one for $390. So much for sale prices. And heiheij, I was there at 8:30 and the selection wasn't any better. I think they were restocking with the same items all day. There was a fair bit of Prada at Bloor St., and a huge Balenciaga bag (almost a suitcase size) at College.... and a few other Bal bags at Bloor too. Lots of Weitzman. Nothing tempting at all.

Ohhhhh. Balenciaga!!! Was it the huge (men's) weekender? Guess I must make a trip to College too. Of course, I haven't seen one IRL. I've seen a normal weekender, but wasnt loving the colour nor the giant hardware...

Anyone else go to the Winner's at College Park today? Wondering if it's worth sneaking there at lunch tomorrow...or would nothing be left?

Well, the "sale" price would probably need to recognize what the Canadian price would have been - assuming that Holts actually carried any of these items... which it basically doesn't. But looking at the markup over the US prices for what little BV Holts does carry, this probably is still a "sale" price... Plus buying it at Winners we don't have to pay astronomical shipping, processing and customs duties to get it into Canada... and we can see an item IRL before we buy it - what a novel concept!!

I saw the Balenciaga as well! It looked so sad sitting on the floor all by itself! lol, but yes, it was HUGE! def luggage size.

~Moi~, i dont think there will be anything good stuff left unfortunatelythere were so many women swarming the section, I saw this one women fill up her shopping cart with like all the remaining Gucci 10 items (hats, belts mainly) and the other women around looked so pissed! lol

I happened to be past both Bloor and College Park again today; the men's wallet at College Park is on a chain so that explains the higher than web site price. I think all the BV wallets were still available at both locations though the rest of the bags were pretty picked over.

So, I actually ventured out to Bloor St today dispite the snow storm. (Yes, I'm a hardcore shopper. LOL)

In terms of BV, the leather wallet with a chain was still there. And the card holder was there well. Wasn't really looking for a wallet at the moment, so I didn't get it. And the prices just don't make sense to me.

In terms of other bags...well, there was that gigantic Prada suitcase, a few Gucci items and some Burberry stuff. Nothing too appealing. Too bad all the Balenciaga was gone.

I didn't get a chance to go to College Park. So that Weekender, what colour was it, and what was the price?

stylefiend, the weekender was (I think) a dark blue and sorry, I didn't even look at the price. Was just surprised to see it there. I agree that the selection overall was uninspiring. In the past, they've had a permanent display of "The Runway" items for all their really high end designer stuff but it looks like it will now become more of an event. Too bad - was hoping it would become like Loehmann's back room....
