Hello all!

My friend called me today and told me she saw a couple of BV's at the TJ Maxx in Moraga, CA. She said they were super cheap, so of course I had to call. The SA I spoke with wasn't able to explain very well, and I haven't had a chance to grill my friend for details yet. They are woven, one black, one brown, no zipper, smallish (not too big, not too small is what she said...) good for evenings... anyway, I'm baffled and if I lived close by I would run over there to check. I don't live there, and I don't have a grand to spend ($999 the SA told me), so someone out there go grab some bargain BVs!

^^ I thought of that, and I'm hoping they aren't fakes. Anyway, worth a shot for someone local maybe?

I used to love TJ Maxx when I lived in the States for treasure hunting... but BV in TJ Maxx? It is really disappointing...

My guess is that they are grey market goods. A likely scenario is that a specialty boutique that Bottega sells to in turn sold them to TJ Maxx.

Last year, I saw BV at Winners here in Toronto; they are owned by TJ Maxx. The bags looked like samples to me. Doubtfulguest, the one you are describing sounds like the small woven messenger bag to me. I don't think there is a zipper on that one.

This is the bag I'm thinking of (and it's $1100 at BlueFly):

I bet your right. Since I've never seen BV at a TJMaxx, I figured it was some sort of fluke.

Didn't mean to upset anyone, though! I was too caught up in the sale aspect and less about what that means for the brand.

wow..it is dissapointing to hear about BV at such a store. I mean TJ Maxx is a great store. However when it comes to Bottega...it doesn't fall in the category as cole haan or coach...

it can happen though. i once saw a gucci bag at a tj maxx..it was an older vintage gucci bag.
