Yes!! love to have some San Marco SLGs in either lilac or elephant.

Love the bag but find it a bit too big for me and the price is too steep for me.

Thank you ReRe for starting this post, it is very educational indeed and it shows how detailed oriented our BV lovers are.

So glad everyone is enjoying it. I love coming to the forum and can't get enough. It was getting a little quiet, so I thought this would be a nice reference.

Here are pics of the Alhambra Bag (stock and ssc's) from SS 2009. Not sure how it is made, but it is a great example of BVs unusual weaving.

This was called the "wave weave" in some places... not sure if that is the official name of the weave style? I believe they used goatskin on this bag but experts chime in if incorrect. F/W 2008.

bumping this up since I added treatments!

This following treatment was done in the Early Fall 2009 collection. It looks like a series of random depressions in the leather. It is created by the use of acid. The example shown is in Matita.

(Mid-)"This treatment is called Vintage Martele . I remember it was also called Meteor or Crater design."

It is woven by hand with hand tyed and hand dyed tubular "puffy" fettucce (rather than flat fettuce) in moro, cigar and mineral to obtain the unique color distribution. One of the swatches (closeup) is from fellower TPFer who got the #1 bag, NicAddict.

^ ReRe - do you know if the Tie-Dye strips are actually sewn together in a tube, rolled, or folded?
