Default Bottega Sunglasses
Have you ladies (and gents) seen Bottega Sunglasses. If so, what do you think?

the reason i ask is because i absolutley love the case they come in. It's a weaved case ( just like their leather bags) however they are asking 300 plus on their frames.

I think they`re absolutely gorgeous but a tiny bit overpriced. I mean Bottega prices in general can be justified by their excellent quality, but the glasses are not produced by themselves, but by Safilo, a group thatz hold quite a lot of sunglass licenses from Gucci to YSL to Diesel.

I love their aviator frames and the one with changeable lenses but I can`t see myself paying so much for sunglasses!

Just in case you haven't seen the case in person, it's not actually leather and it's just stamped in the weave pattern. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed!

Like you Roe, I was mesmerised by the woven case as well, I have to look a little closely to see whether it is stamped or woven as Ryan said. I loved a brown pair with small gold woven squares on the side but as Claus said they are a bit overpriced at £225+. Maybe one day. Ebruo please show us your pairs!!!

Their aviators appeal most to me, and I like how some models have the tiny butterfly insignia stamped on the inside of the end of "sides". (pardon my lack of knowledge for sunglasses terms! )

My case is 100% a stamped vinyl material. Nothing special. Maybe the cases have changed, or different models of sunglasses come in different cases? I have attached a quick photo of my case, but I can't say that they're very illuminating (no pun intended).

ryan. i see what you mean. i got the glasses i liked. the case is in fact a stamp...i'm amazed though at the great way they pulled that off. i had to look really close to notice that. i always knew that the case was NOT leather though. 325 for a leather bottega case...yeah right like that will happen. LOL!

Wow - I would never have thought that the case was stamped rather than real leather and have ogled a case on eBay several times... would I ever have been disappointed if I had bought one and found that out after!

Thanks for the heads up!

^ Roe, no pics for us?

Leather or not, I really like the case, cos it's soooo hard, it's bound to be able to protect the sunnies from any banging around.
