hi all BV gals
I am back again, even more confused. I thought i am all set with campana in my search. Now i'm torn b/t parachute, campana and a third bag comes in the picture Bella. i'm about 5'0-5'1. petite frame, have two toddlers. I know weight is not an issue with BV. which bag is most versatile for me. I was thinking about nero or ash campana, nero parachute and now an ebano bella comes into picture, please help? which bag is more secured? I did a search on parachute, couldnot find much on it. I don't think a lot ladies here on TPF own this bag. thanks in advance |

I only have the Bella of these three so I will let others wade in on the relative merits of each. Given that Parachute is a new style for FW 09 I don't think many people have acquired one yet - whereas the other two have been around for a while - and therefore the absence of information and reviews about the Parachute probably isn't an indication of much other than that it is new.
I love my Bella (I have it in Nero). I like relatively small bags and so my Bella is the biggest bag I have (even though it isn't particularly large) - but it is so light and comfortable to wear. It has a magnetic snap closure and so is secure enough but also easy to get into when I need to - no zipper to fuss with. The handles are great - they can be doubled up so the Bella can be carried as a satchel, or pulled through to one side to be the most comfortable shoulder bag I have ever had - even when I am fussing with luggage and briefcases when I carry my Bella travelling. It has a wide enough base that it will side up okay when put down, but no so wide that it is bulky under the arm (I recall seeing a complaint about that very issue regarding the Parachute, now that I think about it). And I also like the fact that we gave the Bella its (unofficial) name right here on tPF - a number of us our big fans and we decided it deserved a name even though BV didn't think so! |

Hopefully this link will work - here is a picture of my Bella from the reference library. There should be more pictures of other Bella's in the reference library, too - although it will have a number of different names like cinched tote, double handled tote, no-name tote... which we struggled with for some time before deciding it was really a Bella.

I would say the Bella would be the easiest to wear. I had trouble with one strap slipping off my shoulder with the Campana. They are all gorgeous bags, but with kids, I would go with the Bella. Go try them on if you can and have fun deciding!!!

I do not own a bella, but own a medium campana and a parachute.
Here's the campana (I apologize in advance for the large pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's the parachute ![]() ![]() Here's a pic of my SA carrying it before I bought it ![]() Here are my thoughts on the two. Medium campana 1) A lot of people don't think it is big eough. I find it holds a lot. I like the look and the weight and especially love the lilac color. 2) Ocassionally the second strap slips off my shoulder. It doesn't happen a lot to me and I don't find it annoying, but I have read that it bothers some people. 3) I don't love the little strap hooked in the top. It gets in the way of getting in and out of the bag if it is hooked. If unhooked it is useless. Parachute 1) of the two, I like this one the best (but I still like my campana!) 2) very lightweight 3) it is a wide bag, so it can carry a ton. 4) If you do have a lot in the bag, the magnetic closure is less likely to actually stay together. If you have a normal amount in the bag it works beautifully. 5) In my experience, I find that both straps stay on my shoulder well. |

I only have the Campana out of the three and while others have had trouble with one of the straps slipping down, I haven't had that problem- I just tuck the outer one under the other and it stays put (at least on me). As for the strap hooked on top, I usually use it to attach my keys so I just pull on it to get to them.
I absolutely love the Campana but if you do have to carry around alot, the Bella may have slightly more capacity as compared to the medium campana. Plus it gives you the option of a single and longer strap. |

I have a Bella, a Campana but no Parachute. Someone recently did get one here, this is the thread Today I bought a BV Parachute...
I love the Bella & the Campana. I have the Med Campana now but had the Large which has a lot of room. The Med is bigger than the Bella, the Large is much larger than the Bella. I like the open tote, easy access, I too have a toddler. I also don't like zippers ripping at my wallets going in & out of the bag. I tried the Parachute on at the BV boutique, I personally found it to bulky, could not hang my arm down comfortably. Bella is available at NM currently. I know White Plains has them, I saw one there 2 weeks ago. Call Mann, he is the BV SA at NM White Plains. 914-428-2000 HTHs! |
