What a pretty bag Baggiana. Am impressed with BV's longevity.

Oh how I LOVE the colours from that season (SS 2007)!

Baggiana - That is a gorgeous bag and it looks almost exactly like the new Campana Megs has! Thank you for sharing the photo.

I also have a vintage lilac BV--just a standard shoulder bag, but the color is very similar to the color for Fall.

Thanks for sharing part of your collection with us, Baggiana.

That's really a unique, classy, beautiful bag. Thanks for sharing, Baggiana.

Imagine we all get together in a same old folks house... Fun!!

Thank you, all! I have had it about 2 years or so, and it came to me "rode hard and put up wet" - if you know what I mean. There was fading, darkening, and water stains, but basically it was sound. BV will only restore nero and ebano bags - I asked. The seller neglected to mention the condition, though the person from whom she purchased it did mention it to her... anyway, I took it to my leather man who did some restoration work. His work was amazing, and unfortunately he has passed away since, so I have no one to recommend (and I will miss him dearly!). Basically, the bag was in good condition, and he brought it back to life... a testament to early BV quality and my leather man's skills. The long and short of it is that you should care for the bag along the way, and it will shine for many, many years! It is even better when carried, IMO.

boxermom - we are bag cousins... vintage lilac bag cousins! I am so glad that the color is back, and maybe there will be shoes to match in my (and perhaps your) future... I am thinking of it!

And we will all be in the retirement home with our entire collection of bags to pet and wear to dinner. It would be a blast!!! I will try to keep my hands off your ottone sloane, kroquet, but I make no promises!!!

Haha, baggiana! My mom lived in a retirement home where she had her regular lunch table, and the ladies all dressed for lunch with their nice accessories and complained and sorted out all the world's problems. It kept her going a few extra years I think.

We could have a BV wing in "the home". Anyone with a Cabat, I'm giving you fair warning--stay away from me if you want to keep your bag.

What a lovely bag! And I love the "story" that goes with it. (So sorry about the leatherman... that kind of guy is a treasure...)
