Default Animal coin purse family
I thought I would introduce my two new animal coin purses, acquired during my recent trip to NYC - the nero frog and the red fish! I also wanted to do a group shot of the whole family together including my red ladybug and tan fish.

The current fish are smaller than the fish I bought earlier this year from eBay (which I think was from 2004 or 2005), including the size of its mouth... comparison pictures are also attached. The frog has the same smaller mouth, but the ladybug has the larger mouth. I'm not sure about the turtle as I don't have one (yet). I find that the larger mouth is definitely easier for getting things in and out, but I love them all.

I still haven't quite figured out what to do with all of them... right now I have my coins in the frog and my plastic bag to protect my BV in case I get caught in a rainstorm (always a possibility in Vancouver) in the red fish. I did find that the larger tan fish is just big enough to carry my kleenex pack during a recent cold, so maybe that will be its mission in life. And the red ladybug can just look pretty until I figure out something for it to do!

Ah, Montaigne Queen is certainly very good at taking care of little loyal pets also. They are all looking lovely!!

Question. Brownie, my little turtle, has stuffing on his back (within the shell) and I can't put anything more than some coins in him. Is your ladybird the same way?

Yes, the ladybug is like that too. I did find that if I cupped it in my hand I could squish down the stuffing quite a bit with my other fingers, and then actually fit quite a few coins in there (even a number of our Canadian toonies and loonies) - but definitely not as many as in froggie, who doesn't have any of the stuffing, so I switched my coins over to him.

I've bought and sold so many of these. Just got rid of a turtle, but still have 2 fish. Love the bright colors you have! They are harder to find, it seems.

Just showed my DH. He wants one! Just as I have conquered my BV lusting, now he is getting interested. Good collection BookerMoose. You're converting people!

I saw an oceano frog at the sale today. Perfectly adorable, but I really have no use for him.

Interesting. I wonder what other colours they have as well. I will definitely need to make a call tomorrow. BookerMoose, have you ordered from US/Hawaii before?

Not from Hawaii - but I have ordered from Chicago - they do ship to Canada via UPS.
