Am so tempted
to do my birthday shopping early and get one of the woven BV bags. Ok, technically speaking DH will be getting me a bag but I still need to decide which one I want . Can you ladies, please help?I have narrowed down my choices to New Ball Bag in carmino (but moutarde looks lovely, too), Campana in either moutarde or aurora and possibly a mini Veneta in lotus. At the moment I am leaning towards New Ball Bag as the most versatile in terms of colour and size. Campana sounds like it has more features but maybe too small to carry over the shoulder plus colours are more summery. Mini Veneta sounds... well... too small for anything other than a cell phone and keys. Am I missing something? I am a 5'7" brunette with olive skin. Bright colors including yellow look good on me. I do not like oversized or even large bags. The largest bag I currently own is a small Mobile Edge Milano bought out of necessity for work IBM laptop. Style-wise I prefer classic with a twist and I also prefer to carry the bag on my shoulder and to be able to take it to work. I'd like to get one of BV on sale before the next price increase so would be impatiently waiting for your opinions .

Ooh, thanks for letting us help!
If you can wear mustard colors, the Moutarde is a beautiful color. The Carmino is a bit on the bright side for me. IMO aurora is an odd color -- a little peachy? -- and it's so light, I'd worry about my denim rubbing off on it. You might find the New Ball to be too large. It is more narrow than most BVs (one thing I love about it) but it is easily 16 inches in length. One thing I love about it is that with its relatively firm structure, it looks smaller than it actually is. The lotus mini Veneta is adorable, and if I was in need of another clutch and 20 years younger, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It's a very youthful bag IMHO. Let us know what you decdide, and please post pics! |

I would go with a large or medium veneta or campana personally.
The new ball is lovely too but I find it a bit bulky for my figure. Moutarde, carmino and cassis (raspberry red) are all lovely and easy to maintain colors! Let us know what you decide.

I imagine the new ball in moutarde would look great on you, given your height and skin tone. It would be more versatile than the campana, I think, given its woven gold hardware, and you could easily dress it up or down. It's a good size too, neither too big or squeezed.
Campana is lovely too but it has a more casual vibe. The mini veneta looks rather doll-like and girly. It just screams Paris Hilton to me.

I vote for the new ball in carmino. It's a versatile style and a go with everything, all season color.

I vote for the ball in moutarde as I have a bag in moutarde and love the shade. I think it's a beautiful color and especially if yellow looks good on you!

Thank you all. I am leaning toward New Ball in carmino. Are any of the larger Veneta's on sale? A large or medium Veneta might look lovely, too. If they are on sale in store, would they ship?

As for seasonal use, I am going to use my bag whenever I want. However, the SA I talked to did say that moutarde is more spring/summer than yearlong. Good luck on your decision! |

The medium Venetas are on sale in the spring colors only. Talk to your SA if you want to order one she doesn't have.
I vote for Moutarde in a conservative environment. Carmino is very bright IMO. I also think you could wear moutarde year round as it is a muted yellow. |
