Default Almature - How delicate is it?
Hi,

Shucks, I think I misspelled armatura as almature - sorry!
Thank you to all who have shared their pics of this beautiful color.
I am just in awe with the beauty of the limited edition armature color in Hawaii. I am going to assume it is not an everyday bag (because of the metallic finish) or is it? I am so concerned about if and when it will show wear especially on the handle as it rubs on your shoulder. I have a campana in black and it is years old and hardly shows wear for the amount I use it.

I have seen and touched the veneta in armatura and it is amazingly soft like their other leathers, but I can't help but wonder if the metallic will wear faster? Maybe wrap a scarf around the handle to protect it a bit? Thank you for any comments!

I have the coin/credit card purse and its in my bag everyday, I probably don't handle it as much the the handles on a bag,but I haven't had a problem. I don't know of too many girls who have the bag in this color. Could someone clear up the color name, originally all the posts said almature, then recently I've seen armatura. I would speak with a rep from BV in Hawaii and see if they have had complaints, its hot and humid there so I would think they would know about problems with the handles or rubbing.

When I was in Japan, the SA copied it for me from the tag as "armatura". I don't think she got it wrong as she was very careful and armatura translates to "armour".

Thanks ReRe for your response. Your coin purse is so pretty. I will try to contact a SA there to ask about how delicate this bag can be.

Saresha - did you receive your veneta yet? I would love to see pics of it. I am still sitting on the fence about getting the medium. I really want to, but I would be so sad if it started to show wear too quickly. I can't wait to see yours!

Anyone else with any thoughts?

It'll probably arrive sometime in the coming week, I think. I was also a little concerned about the colour, but considering that the other metallic shades like Ottone seem to hold up quite well (at least I haven't come across any complaints here), I decided to take the risk.
