LOL! silvercloud, at first glance I thought you were saying that they will stretch after a few YEARS! I need to learn to read better!

Love love them! I ordered the same red wallet and ended up with the longer one. I still like it though.

Congrats!

It is pretty roomy with the suede lining and 2 compartments and zippered section. My first clutch! Now I just need to find an event to use it

silvercloud and bags4fun - Interesting that both of you are experiencing tightness/discomfort when wearing this copper ayers flat sandal. I, too, find the sandals too tight across the front of my foot, and it cut across I region that is actually painful... I had bunion surgeries this winter, and am very careful not to wear anything that does not feel right. I do not use my feet to stretch the shoe any longer. I have taken them to my shoemaker 3 times to be professionally stretched in the "toe box" area. We are getting closer, and the swelling is going away, but the place where the curve cuts is just above the big toe/first metatarsal joint. This leaves a mark on my foot and does cause discomfort. I will have them stretched again as soon as my shoemaker returns from vacation. They are indeed beautiful, but I cannot wear them any longer than a few minutes, yet. The bottoms are pristine...

septembersiren - Thanks for the tip on friction! This is not a matter of rubbing or blisters - but more like cutting into my foot. I have a narrow heel, and a normal width forefoot. I wear a 5.5 M comfortably: I have one pair of BV ballet flats and the tea circle thong sandal (which came in matita, too) - both are extremely comfortable. It may just be the style of this sandal. Since I own them, and there is no return, before I give up and give them away, I will continue trying to have them professionally stretched... until it is clear to me that this will not solve the problem. In any case, I cannot wear anything that hurts my feet. They look gorgeous, though!

Thank you, howardu09 and desertqueen. I love tpf and how we can keep coming back to see others' goodies

Baggiana: Ouch. I feel for you and I am sorry that you are also experiencing the same things as bags4fun and I. I have worn the sandals a few times now and while they are getting looser, I still feel the initial tightness every time I slipped my feet into them, particularly at the red crosses I marked out in the picture below. Are those the same areas for you too? On my last outing with the sandals, I got blisters at the back of my feet as the straps have loosened and kept sliding up and down when I walked.

I am still hoping that over time, the sandals will conform to the shape of my feet and will be as comfortable as the other BV shoes I have. I still find it strange that the same design on the heels version fit so well for the front of the feet.

Oh, dear! - this is not good, Yes, your feet look the same as mine do in the sandals, and the pressure is in the same places. The way that they cut across the metatarsal looks pretty, but does not feel comfortable to me, and with the heel version, your foot is bent at that point and the pressure apparently is not be in the same postion. For the back of the heel, you could try the product, Friction, that Septembersiren recommended to see of that relieved the slipping and rubbing. I have not worn my sandals enough for the backs to loosen, and I do not believe that they were stretched by my shoemaker. I, too, hope that the sandals will eventually conform to my foot, but if not, I will be giving them away rather than ruin my feet. Too bad, because they are such beautiful sandals.

Hi, I am thinking about getting a BV sandals ( they would be my first ones) still trying to get a rame veneta, so I think the ayers rame colour would be a great start, they are so beautiful. My feet are quite wide and a big number of foot ( 40-41 in spain). My SA told me they still have the same plain sandals all you 3 have or the high heeled version, but the one that is covered at the back of the sandal, not the ones that silvercloud“s friend got.
baggiana, silvercloud, bags4fun, do your flat sandals still hurt?
does someone have the high heel version and if so, could you give your input? I usually cut a part of the heels, because I am not used to very high ones and I am 5 10", do you think it would be possible for this sandals?

That's interesting about the sandals.
Though I don't think I could afford to get them : )
Hope you can find a way to work it out and wear them more comfortably.

newbaglover: sorry for the late reply as I have not been on the forum for the last few weeks. I have not worn the sandals since I got blisters on the back of my feet as I have not stick on the heel shields to prevent the friction. I think it is kinda trial and error for all shoes? But BV shoes sure are gorgeous :)
