Napa Valley! Love Napa, you gals are so lucky to be so close! Sounds like you all had a blast! I was there with DH in 92, going in July to watch my BFF run a marathon! Can't wait, 5 gals i've know over 20 yrs!

Happy Anni jmcadon!

BL/ jburg,

How does amatura compare with ottone?

it seems from the pics the former is lighter shade and ottone more yellowish gold?

thanks!

We'll show you a pic side by side when we get our Armatura's

The Ottone is definitely gold, an antiquey gold or champagne gold depending on the light. The Armatura is more silver. I would call it a warm pewter but not gold. Oooooo, I'm hungry for it.

So the Pyramid has to be done as a special order, there aren't any available for transfer from Japan. I have opted to go with the Veneta since I'm not up to the additional cost at this time. 1K It's being shipped today and I should have it Thursday. jmcadon and I will be twins until jburgh decides what she's going to do. We could be triplets

I was told that this original Armatura has been in production for 4 years and has done very well. It is not being produced at this point any more except as a special order and the new Elephant Armatura is being introduced. Depending on how well it does one of the two will be phased out for good. This is the last chance for those of you who want to jump on the original before it's gone unless you want to do an SO.

I'm very excited and hope I love it!

I suddenly remembered last night that I did see the Armatura Pyramid in February at Ginza, and told the floor manager that if I hadn't done the Ottone SO, I would just snatch that Armatura right there. It's really really REALLY beautiful both in Pyramid and Veneta, and in SLG too.

Congratulations, jmcadon, Bichon Lover, and jburgh!! Can't wait to see lots of pics!!

No, but I was told that it's like the pics show, much warmer in color than the original. Having the Ottone brat that I am, I'm glad to be getting the cooler original version. IRL it was a warm pewter but still more silver than gold.
