I just love this story - a BV fairytale (which I hope has a very happy ending for everyone concerned - not that the Veneta is a horrible Plan B, though)!

She's amazed and or shocked at how sick we are to have attacked this in just a few minutes.

Well now.......someone is as sick as we are, just in slow mo! Congrats! Did you get the medium or the large madame?
I got the medium...you know me, the small bag gal. Just closed the deal!

My Armatura Medium Veneta is one of my favorite BV's. You can't really appreciate the color until you see it IRL. It's simply stunning and I do wear it with both gold and silver. Hmm...I'd love to get one in the Pyramid...

BL, jmcadon, and I met up for a girls mini-vacation this past week. On Thursday, we were at Domaine Chandon for some champagne tasting and vittles. As we were sitting out on the patio, three Japanese women walk through the patio area, BL and my eyes do a . One of the women carried the perforated Veneta with the ruffled edge in Noce, and a younger woman had the Armatura Pyramid. The third woman spoke a little English and helped translate. The two women with the BVs were mother and daughter. Way to go, mom! It was great to see others who share in the BV love.

There began the obsession. But that sneaky jmcadon never let on. We were all hypnotized by the beauty of Armatura. Keep your fingers crossed for BL and I...we hope to get the pyramid from Japan, but it has to go through as a quasi-special order, like BookerMoose and her Mela Montaigne.

And you, my dear jmcadon, GOOD JOB!
I had actually been thinking of a medium Veneta in Ottone. I really did not want to spend the money right now, but after seeing that Armatura I kind of knew that somehow I would get my hands on one. I just love metallics and this one is like pewter and bronze mixed somehow . The girl wearing the pyramid was dressed all in black and it was just stunning! You girls are dangerous to be around...

armatura is very very special
The last time I saw them jburgh was carrying her Ottone Sloane and BL wore a gorgeous purple pleated BV. We even went into a BV boutique and I resisted...this time I caved! They made me craaaazzzyyy!

It was like a fairy tale...there we were sitting at the table outside in gorgeous Napa wine country chatting and those ladies walked by not once, but twice. I saw the BV's first as I was facing their direction, and all I could think of is this is fate! I am surrounded by BV... (I was actually carrying my Jimmy Choo Black patent Riki) As the lovely ladies walked back by our table, I can't remember if it was BL or jburgh who got their attention and we all started talking. Come to think of it, it does sound like a scene from SATC! BL resembles sexy, sassy Samantha (without the slightly sleezy part) jburgh is quietly elegant Charlotte and I am definately quirky, slightly neurotic Carrie! All we needed was Miranda...

Congratulations, jmcadon, jburgh and Bichon Lover! This sounds stunning whether it is venetas or pyramids! I am confused though... please enlighten me. The armatura to which you are referring is the original armatura? - not the elephant armatura? I was not aware that there were any venetas left in the original armatura.

OK, I'll clarify - The Armatura we saw on the arm of the Japanese woman in Napa was the original Armatura. The style was a Pyramid, which was only available in Japan. The Veneta is available in Hawaii. BL and I hope to get the Pyramid, but it is processed as a quasi-SO, if available at all. If not, our backup plan is the large Veneta, which are already on hold until we find out if the Pyramid is available.

jmcadon, you are so funny...SATC. I did have a great time and highly recommend the meeting of purse gals at fun places.

jmcadon Oh, if you only knew I was voted biggest flirt in high school
Us? Dangerous? Nooooo
The medium will be perfect for you and I always pick out my own gifts and so does my husband. Surprise is way over rated. LOL

mid- I haven't got a clue what the hardware was but I can just about guarantee jburgh noticed :)

bags4fun You're in!

baggiana Yes, the original not the elephant armatura. Evidently there are some left since they have 2 large for us on hold plus jmcadon's medium. I said the same thing to jburgh, "they must have had a huge amount to still have 2 larges" and that was before I knew they had a medium for jmcadon.

doloresmia Yes it is grosgrain

MNS Lucky you enjoying this beautiful bag! Do you have any modeling pics for us to ogle till we get our hands on ours?

I called today and our SA was off but the one I talked to checked and called me back and said the request was made to Japan the 4TH and they have not heard back as of now but expects they should hear something in the next few days. I'm waiting with baited breath and everything crossed LOL.
