I have long lusted after BV bags, and I am pretty sure that I am ready to commit to my first BV bag. I live in London so have a choice of stores here, but am about to travel to NYC next weekend and was wondering about whether I should a) buy in London; b) buy at Terminal 5; or c) buy in NYC.
I would welcome the advice of all BV experts out there. . .

I hope you have a wonderful time in NYC. I saw in another thread you mentioned the veneta. It's become my favorite BV style for everyday wear. Perhaps you can check out the bags in all three locations, NYC being your last stop, and make a decison. Happy shopping!

ITA with LLANeedel, drop by all the stores, play with everything they have, and pick the one that sings to you the most!
Joseph and Jerry at NYC are very sweet (if they are still there).

Thank you for all the suggestions so far! I guess I was wondering whether there would be any price advantage in either the airport or NYC as opposed to home, especially since the pound is still relatively strong against the dollar. . . Any thoughts lovely BV people?

miss sooky - welcome to the lovely obsession of BVs.... i don't think that fabulous feeling of which bag to choose ever goes away! you will definitely have fun trying everything on! i do for sure!
there have been a number of threads on prices of BV worldwide. i think london is more expensive than EU, and with the strength of the pound NYC would definitely work in your favor. if you have time, there is a BV outlet outside of NYC - Woodbury - http://www.yelp.com/biz/bottega-vene...central-valley. i have no idea how to far from NYC, or how to get there, but your hotel could help you. they generally have seasonal stuff from a year ago??? Question from London BV virgin http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-v...es-150397.html Be sure to let us know what you choose! AND we want action shots! |

I imagine the NYC store is the largest in the US, so with the weak dollar, you could scoop up amazing deals there! Let us know what you decide--we love to admire everyone's bags.

NYC is indeed large and has a lot of inventory.
I always forget to go upstairs... Woodbury is about an hour drive from Manhattan (with no traffic, which happens only in your dream, LOL), and I believe there are buses from Port Authority. I have to say that it's a hit or miss place IMO though. |

It sounds like NYC is the place to go according to other posters. I have not been to a BV Boutique myself (only stores).
I hope you have a great time and find the perfect bag. |
